Can i put these together?



AMP:

1000 watt amp

2 channel

2 X 250W RMS @ 4 Ohms

2 X 500W RMS @ 2 Ohms

1 X 1000W MAX @ 4 Ohms Bridged



2 Subs:

peak: 1500 Watts each

RMS: 500 Watts each

and i dont know if to get them dual 2 Ohms each or dual 4 Ohms each sub?

If you want the max power you need to run the amp at 2 ohms.

To match those subs with that amp, get the dual 4-ohm version of the subs. Then you can either wire each sub for 2 ohms and run the amp in 2-channel mode, or wire each sub for 8 ohms, and wire them to the bridged amp in parallel for a 4-ohm load.

Hey im planning on getting 3 of these subs(http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9922_Orion+HCCA+10.2+-HCCA10.2-.html) and this amp (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17599_Hifonics+BXi+2610D.html)



Im pretty sure this is almost enough power for them, so am i right? and im also pretty sure this amp can be hooked up to 3 of those subs...if im wrong correct me please. THANKS!

it will push the subs but your going the have an offset ohm load because of the 3hird sub see attachment http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=3&I=42

why get 3 of them? you need an amp that puts out 4500 rms watts @ 3 ohms if you wanna wire everything correctly and have them hit and be loud.



so you want an amp that can put out about 5000 rms @ 2 ohms

it will present a 3 ohm load, which will be giving each sub the amount of watts it needs, between 4000-4500 rms total @ 3 ohms if you get an amp that does 5000rms @ 2 ohms





have fun spending a fortune, you dont want 3 of those subs

No. No monthly fees.



The only future cost would be updating the map/roads/points of interest data base. But this is optional.

Depending on the device, it could be every year or every other year, etc.



There are some GPS units that include weather and/or traffic that DO require monthly fees.



Also, many aviation GPS units require updates every 29 days.



If it is simply a basic automotive GPS, there will be no recurring fees.



EDIT: My car has a built-in GPS. The update is optional and requires only the purchase of a new DVDROM. No labor involved.

(Though, it is about $140)

Yes and No!

Beware that most systems with up to the minute traffic updates charge a monthly fee and require cell service for these updates.



Most systems also require yearly updates for their maps at an additional cost. The can be as much as $100 and some nav systems need to be installed by the dealer at their over priced labor costs.



Do yourself a favor and ask them up front for these charges and compare them to the cost of a portable dash mounted unit.

9 times out of 10, you will be better of with a portable unit.

alarms just anoy people keep it locked and get comprehensive insurance to protect your stereo

well a car alarm isn't gonna stop someone from ripping that out in 20 secs. best bet is to keep your receipts for insurance purposes so you can be reimbursed for the stolen items if they get stolen. Don't draw attention to yourself by bumpimg your music near where you live.

cheaper amps try to sell you on the max watts if it says 2000 watts its probly 500x2 rms if ur luckey. check w/ manual or manufacter on rms watts and if its stabe at 2 ohms
