[Question]
[All Answers]
you sure can .. go to future shop .. you could probley get a deck and amp to
shop around a bit. look on ebay.com and craigslist.com . . .
craigslist is great! i got a free treadmill off there last week!! you can post your own add saying you want the subwoofers. ! thats your best bet
easy
check your local sunday paper for sales
are you sure you want 10's you can get one twelve that hits hard and has better sound for way under 400...www.crutchfield.com boston acoustics $109 ea...there are alot of high quality subs and you can get a pair of 10's for way under 400.
absolutely, you can get 2 12" subs for about $100
check out this link,

Good luck
you could get 2 10's in a box with an amp for that. better to just get one bigger sub instead of 2 10's. you can always add more later on if you want to so go for the bigger one to start. there are a ton of places online you can find what you are looking for. i wouldn't say craigslist is your best bet seeing as how they never have any decent subs on there in the first place.
If you are looking for HARD hitting subs....10's are usually NOT the way to go...however understanding that space can be LIMITED...
you have no choice.
Some subs to think about that have very DECENT Excursion, high output...very loud....
I would look at are the Fi BL 10's....
GREAT Subwoofer, loud! High output.

I have a single 12" Fi BTL, and i hit roughly ....148db +- 2 or 3 db depending on the situation.
I replaced that with a single 12" DD Audio 9512g series driver and mannnn that thing WANGS all over the Fi BTL. I have not had a chance to measure the DB Levels on that one.
But again those brands are Competition level Subs.
Some others to look at: Best bang for the dollar: Phoenix Gold RSD, and RSDC subs. Both can be had for a lower price than some of the other subs on the market, but still sound like some other subs that cost twice to three times as much.
More brands:
Memphis
Image Dynamics
Elemental Deisgns
MMats

I was given some subwoofers, can you help identify them?
[Question]
the subs are 2 12"s in a ported box
on each subwoofer it says, "Mic", 150 watt max
made in taiwan
4 ohms
thank you in advance guys
[All Answers]
they are too crappy to be able to identify...sorry
pioneer? lol i tried...
I have no clue with just that. Is there anything else on the subs? With the information you gave me, Sounds like they are not a very good sub. I hope you did not pay much for them.
Refine the search more or look at the pictures for your subwoofer.
lol 12's with 150 max? look a little closer and provide more detail
Made In Taiwan = too s*** to be worth identifying...

can i plug a 6v radio into a 12v socket?
[Question]
it works but will it burn up the radio?
[All Answers]
Yeah i think it will burn up not right away but it will.
it's 6v for a reason.... it can onnly handle 6v, may work, but you'll end up burning ur house or car down...
you need an adapter that converts 12V to 6. For example most car chargers for cell phones are around 4.5V. Find one that's 6V and it should work.

wire both subs at 2 ohms then run them together for a final load of 1 ohm
check out a hi fonics brutus amp.
1500 watts
class D
awesome bang for the buck
can support your demanding 1 ohm load.
just dont go cheap and forget about your cap.
depending on your vehicle's electrical system.
hope this helps
You should look for a mono amp that is rated at around 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms. The 2 channel lanzar isn't really a good amp. This one would work pretty well. This is probably the best you can do for under $150. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9795_Phoenix+Gold+Ryval+V8001.html
You'll be able to run it at 4 ohms. So, there will be no issues with heat or distortion.

how can i make my subwoofer more powerful?
[Question]
small subwoofer in a little plastic box.
is i put it in a bigger box, will i get more booom booom sound?
[All Answers]
No. If it's in a plastic box, it can't handle much power anyway.
If you do put it into a bigger box, all you will hear is "Boom Boom POP!!!"
add more power to it? LOL thats an easy question.
and get a box that fits that sub.
