Ignition cover
steering column cover
It's the steering column cover. But you don't need a new one. It doesn't carry any load, except for it's own weight. So just glue it together. =^ )
It is a steering column cover. The garage, or place, where you took the car to have the ignition repaired is responsible for replacing the cover since they broke it. It wasn't broken when the car was taken in. It will have to come from a dealership so it will fit properly. The mechanic who took it off either was careless or didn't know how to remove it. Either way, they are still responsible and you should not have to get her a new one.

I bought the punch sub yesterday and i blew it (big turn down) driving to work today. Soooo im looking at other options on subwoofers and i ran across this one.

dude u should get the kicker cvr12 there pretty cheap and i have these and they sound AMAZING im running a kenwood 1800 watt amp with it and i have no problems but if ur wanting to stick to those 2 subs go with the kicker
I think of the two, Kicker is the better choice.
If you blew your Punch sub....you might have to look into why you blew it...especially if it was new. You'll need to take into consideration a few things...RMS wattage....Also break in time (warm up period, etc). Most woofers need to breath and stretch and get broken in before it can be played at max volume.
IF you are putting in more power than is recommended it could definitely burn up your subwoofer real quick. I would suggest you take it back to where you get it from to see if there's a return policy etc.
Anyway good luck.
I personally dont like either of those subwoofers. So I would suggest some other brands.
But at your 100-129 price range there are not a whole lot.
My personally suggestion is something like Phoenix Gold RSD and RSDC subs...great subs for the price and are pretty comparable to some subs above it's class range.

Realize the RSD's RMS rating is 500 watt. Where as the two you asked about are 50-150watt RMS....so 150 watt RMS is not ALOT of room to grow for bass.
And something quite a bit more powerful is the RSDC:

amp won't power up, can anyone help?
[Question]
I just bought 2 amps and got them today, a Kenwood KAC 8104D which says its a mono (but its got 2 channels :S) and a kicker impuls 652xi. I already had two crap amps in the back which i sold. I hooked up the amps too see if they were working and both work fine. I was taking out the wires from the kenwood when the power wire slipped and touched the ground wire, causing it too spark and smell burnt for a little bit. It had no contact with the amp when they touched either
after this i made sure they stayed away form each other.
after this I tried too hook the kenwood back up but it wouldnt power up. I then tried the Kicker and it wouldn't power up either. Im getting the right amount of power through the wires and fuses look pretty intact so i'm not sure if iv blown something im not aware of.
can someone help tell me what is wrong or what too look for with my multimeter
thanks
I checked both fuses (have a single power cable for each amp) and the voltage is as it should be, the fuses are fine. and usually i do disconnect it, it was just a quick swap so i got slack.
does anyone know how to check if there is power coming from the remote wire with a multimeter???
[All Answers]
sometimes the fuse wont break so you just by lookin at it physically wont help. i would test both ends of the fuse holder to make it sure current is really running through. since thats the only thing that touched was power and ground or just check the continuity of the fuse.
If you blew anything it would just have been a fuse make sure you pull them out and take a good look at them, im sure thats going to be the answer, next time disconnect the negative terminal first!!! good luck. and the reason your "Mono" has two channels is that its mono when bridged so to make it mono us the very left side and very ride side (one pos one neg) to make your amp mono!
