i have to 12 kicker cvrs but my lights keep flickering.. should i buy a stronger battery?
[Question]
im scared my battery will dir out from so much energy my system takes out i have a sony xpod 1000 watts and 2 kicker cvrs and my lights flicker not alot but they do should i get a new battery a better one or a capacitator and all that ?

When your engine is running, the electrical system is not being powered by the battery, it's being powered by the alternator. You might need an alternator which produces more current (amps).
you just need a capacitor
I had this same problem. Get a Capacitor. It fixed the issue for me and isn't as expensive as getting a new battery or alternator. If that doesn't fix the problem then your likely going to need a new Alternator, one that is better and of higher capacity than your current one. But like I said, I had the exact same problem and it was fixed when I got my Cap. (I'm running similar wattage as well)

Optima yellow top for primary or secondary battery?
[Question]
I have a mitsubishi lancer 05, running 2 Kicker comp 12's and mids/his for a total of 450 watts.I have a 115 amp alt and my stock battery is dying from the power my system demands (lights dimming, bass amp clipping and turning on again). I know I need the Optima D34/78. Should I replace the stock battery with the Optima, or put the Optima in the trunk to power the system?
[All Answers]
G M
You should have already been using three battery's one so you do not over load your alternator the other two will run all the watts for you speakers, lights ,what ever else you may have setup in your car.
have a good day!
dont get 3 batterys....all that will do is kill the alternator because it would have to charge 3 instead of 1 just get a deep cycle battery and if you still have your lights dimmin then get a capacitor or a bigger alternator

two way speakers vs four way speakers?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Hi GM
You don't need four way speakers the best sounding speakers for a small suv/car use ohms they are nice cone shape speakers they will rock , also bose speakers are very crisp and clear and will put out 900 watts and they are only 3 inch's tall.Four way speakers are good for front and back control and with the newer vehicles now a days they have a speaker in every door plus two in front and two in back so that's 8 way speakers.Good Luck your best bet is too take your car/truck/suv up to car/truck audio like mickey shore's.
i'd go for 2 way speakers. your looking for mids and his in your door speakers. if you want bass then i would recomend getting a subwoofer. when you have the mids and his in the doors and the lows in the back then it all comes together and it sounds great
