What is meant by cd changer in car audio system?
[Question]
[All Answers]
a cd changer allows you to load multiple CDs at once and play them one after the other.
you have more than 1 cd in at a time
means you can have multiple cd's inserted in the player and change between them with a push of the button : )
A CD changer holds multiple Compact Discs, usually in a cartridge, and allows the user to access (or play) any of them, one at a time.
A CD changer is a CD player that you can put more than one CD in at a time and then select which CD you want to listen too. 3 CD changers are fairly common. There are models that go in the trunk that can hold a lot more.
Yea exactly that. Alot of the times you buy them and have to set them in your trunk or somewhere, but you can't load them in your cd player.
Some have 6 discs, some have 10, some even have 12.
You probably have a cd changer installed somewhere within your car... or this could be just a separate output so you can add one later. A cd changer allows you to insert multiple cds into one system, kind of works like an old style IPod, you have multiple choices in your music, by being able to chose songs from multiple cds

can you hook up 2 power cables to one battery?
[Question]
i was wondering if i can hook up 2 power cables each one going to a dif. amp one cable being 1200 watt and the other one being 600 watts.. i kno it would be easier to buy a splitter but i already have the cables i just wanna kno it i will ruin the battery or the alternator or something like that
[All Answers]
That's not massive power being took out of your battery. If you have one 4 gauge with a distributor block (splitter) running to more 4 gauge. It'll still only get the power of one 4 gauge. But if you wire two 4 gauges up to the battery then both wires are gonna get their power and suck out alot of power.
Update to the Big 3 and be safe.
It will drain the battery quite a bit faster. I have been in this same scenario myself. I just bought the splitter, and besides it never hurts to have extra cable.
typically taking power from the battery drains it so i think im may affect you alternator (in the long run only if you'll be sub'n\hard) why do double the work (and add a fuse) spilt the orignal power cable at one end (amp side) less drag on your battery wanting power
If you have them already just run them both. It will be more work, but more wire is always better. You can never have too much wire. And that stuff about pulling more power... that's not true since your amps are the only thing that pull power. Better pull power from two wires than one... easier on ur electrical.
I know this, the 1995 Buick LeSabre had two positive cables hooked up to one battery. It takes a longer battery bolt, easily found, and both cables need the side mount battery cable ends. You just put one on top of the other and put the bolt through both. It works fine. Don't know about the draw of your amps and watts etc.

which is a louder and better setup?
[Question]
i have a memphis mojo 2400.0 that's 1ohm stable..and i'm looking at some subs to knock pictures off the wall...
the subs i'm looking at are the mtx 9500 15" or The Fi Q 15" and i'm looking for a pair so i'll be running 2 15"s of either set of subs!!
which will hit the lows with a vengance?
[All Answers]
umm
Fi is an overhyped name... based purely on videos on youtube... mainly by steve meade
RD audios subs will blow the shit out of both Fi and MTX's woofers

To be honest both of those would both kill all bass. I've heard one of each speaker and one was amazing. Two of either one of them would kill. I'd choose the Fi Q.
You should look at the Rd audio Sonance 15 or alpha if you want the bigger boy. RD audio has over 10 records in SPL and are proven :)
lowhz01@yahoo.com
I am partial to Cerwin vega. That is what I have installed 3 of them in the trunk of the avenger, but if I were to chose out of the other 2 I would prefer the fi Q15, they tend to have lower distortion.
sound nice- but to have a real system it would need to all match up(same brand) and then you'll need it displayed some how in a form whare any one that see's it needs to stare longer_ and then EEeee, to klean ride to listen to- i think as soon as you cross into 13 inch subs and higher your spending you money on hunks on metal and image-but to answer your question keep your mojo amp and run 3-12's. idk

what setup would be louder?
[Question]
kicker l7 15" with rockford t1500
or
Fi BL 15" with sundown sae1200.
if kicker is still better....then compare it to the fi bl 15" with a sundown saz1500.
for the bl im only getting the cooling option
[All Answers]
Fi BL for sure. Get the options on it and go for the SAZ-1500. Ported of course.
hard choice, i have never owned the bl but am a proud owner of L7's but from what i hear the bl's can handle a little more power, get louder and have better sound quality... personally i think the biggest difference is the sq not so much the loudness...the l7 most likely picks up lows better than the bl but like i said the bl is just louder with more sq!!as far as the amp goes atleast a 1500 watt amp should be used on either subwoofer!! especially the bl!
The L7 is louder than the kicker the BL has better sound quality
This is proven in competetion
but RD audios Sonnance subwoofer has them both beat in quality and sound once again, as proven in competetion.

If you would like a bit more information Please email me.
kickers any day of the week they will be twice as loud
fi is over rated

if i use a 1200 watt power cable?
[Question]
on a 600 watt amp will it blow my amp?
[All Answers]
you mean the power cable that comes in a 1200 watt wiring kit,
no because it most likely is only 6 gauge wire
and most amps wont accept power wires bigger than they can handle
No. It's just a cable. Plus, there is no such thing as a "1200 watt" power cable. Cable is measured in terms of gauge. I'm guessing you're using a 0 or 4 guage, but no, you can never have too big a calbe, only too small.
You won't have a problem using a 1200 watt wiring kit power wire. Usually it says 4 gauge but it really be 6 gauge in a 4 gauge installation. There are only a few companies making real 4 gauge power wire, if you take a cheap brand 4 gauge wire and hold it with a more expensive brand wire you will see the difference! But to get back on track 4 gauge wire is the best wire to use on any install cause its not too big and not too small, just make sure you hook a fuse! Good luck!
A bigger cable isnt going to make ur amp blow. A cable doesnt push the power, all it does is provide a way for your amp to pull the current. The bigger the better though, it creates less resistance, and less resistance = higher voltage = higher wattage.
