a toggle switch
A switch that toggles in one of two positions; this usually represents on/off to the device it controls.
It's like the light switches that have a little piece sticking out.
i have no fucking idea unless your talking about a game control its the lil stick that movess dumb asss lmfao
A toggle switch is a mechanism that does one of only two things: "On" and "Off." The familiar bat-handle switch might provide power to a piece of farm equipment, or nestle among many switches and dials on an airplane control panel. Other examples are the familiar up/down handle of a light switch, and the fancier button that turns on your stereo. Some circuit breakers operate by way of a toggle switch.

I use to put them in my car.. it kind of resembles a light swith in a room which does "toggle" on or off... typical togle swithces are like a small metal knob that flips up or down..
basically a light switch. if you are talking strictly car audio, I have used them before to toggle some things. for car audio they look like an advanced light switch. some have LED's that turn on when in use. pretty cool.
you can attach it to anything, lights, amps, ect...
me i have mine attached to my remote start kill switch and 1 attached to turn on and off my amp for subs and speakers
You can find your answer a the link below.

its just an on off switch. but no dont wire it to a toggle, thats un professional and retarded. wire it right, either to a fuse that turns on and off with the car, or to the remote wire from your radio. why would you want to turn it off quickly? you can just turn your car off and it will go off. im assuming it is for an amplifier for subwoofers? if you need to shut your subs off for whatever reason theres a logical answer, its called turning down the volume.

What amp should i buy to run one 12'' alpine type r sub?
[Question]
i just baught one alpine type r subwoofer and not sure what the best amp i should buy to run it i was thinking about the alpine mono 500 but for 4 ohms it only runs at 300 rms and the sub can handle 500 rms im really not to good with this so just looking for some advice thanks alot
[All Answers]
wouldnt need one to run it
the alpine type r sub is a dvc subwoofer so when wired parallel with both voice coils it wires to 2ohm, not 4 ohm. i reccomend this amp:http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/amplifiers/class-d-power-reference-amplifiers
do not let the ratings fool you, it will be pushed at rms or more i promise.
I'm guessing you purchased the 1222 dvc type R instead of the 1242 dvc, in which case you can only wire it down to 4 ohms or 1 ohm.
Try to find good deals for these amps on ebay, etc.
Kenwood KAC-9104D
Hifonics BXI 1610D
Hifonics 1210D
Also make sure you purchased the 1222D sub if you use the amps I suggested. If you purchased the 1242 sub then it can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms and the mrp-m500 would be great for you.
My friend has a 800watt pioneer running to his type-r. The sub is getting 400rms of the max 500. So it's in good range.

Car amplifier power flickering on and off?
[Question]
i just installed a 1600 watt amp in my car along with 2 800 watt subs. The power light to my amp flickers on and off, not completely off all the time just fades. When this happens it stops the subs from working or it reduces the sound alot. Is it because the amp isn't getting sufficient power from by battery? I know my ground lead is good, i just sanded that down the other day. Another theory I have is that I am hooked up to the wrong wire for my remote turn on lead... The reason I think this, is the amp powers on when my car turn on, but the stereo can still be off... I have a LED display above my stereo that turn on with the car. Could I be on the power wire for that? Could that be causing the flicker problem?
Thanks in advance,
Halozander

if it is a good 1600w amp then you are loosing power and your lucky it hasnt blown yet along with your subs from distortion.replacing the battery wont do you any good because whenever the vehicle is running it looks to the alternator for power, not the battery. the battery is to back the alternator up and to start the car. the turn on wire has NOTHING to do with voltage drops which is what you seem to be having.you should definitely try and get that hooked up right tho. you can try adding a good capacitor but i would just aim high and go out and get a high performing alternator of at least 140amps. make sure your running 0awg wire to the amp as well. but for only 800w a piece per sub personally i would just go to a good 1000w amp. it will push it just fine. i reccomend either a memphis pr1.1000 or a kicker 1000w amp. they are both great amps for the price. the memphis runs a little bit cheaper i do believe. i used the memphis pr1.1000 to push a 2000w sub and it did just fine and it was very loud. buying different amp will be alot cheaper than an alternator.
i had the same problem with my amp cutting out and shutting off all together also. i put in a capacitor (R/F) and it fixed the problem immediately. another option if you dont want to buy a capacitor is you can buy a better battery that will make ALL your electronics (including adding about 60w more power to your speakers) like the yellowtop battery from autozone or a place like it. capacitors are about $100-130 (depends if digital or not and 1F or 2F) and yellowtop batterys are like $170.. hope this helps some.
It sounds like you are experiencing a massive voltage drop. When the bass hits, it is trying to get more power from the alternator than it can support. My first suggestion would be to do a "Big 3" upgrade. If that doesn't fix the problem, you'll need to upgrade to a high output alternator. If I knew your make and model, I would make a recommendation. But, I'll just recommend some brands instead. If end up looking for a h.o. alt. Look into ohio generator and excessive amperage. Both are great companies.
Big 3 tutorial.

What are the best car speakers that are somewhat cheap?
[Question]
Ok i just bought new alpine speakers in the back and they soung good. But my front ones have all the music playing like the loudness and the back is more like bass. I am looking for some good loud speakers and alittle bass but not to much. Thanks.
ALso is cars usually like that the back is softer then the front?

memphis power reference series speakers are great for the price. they have a high sensitivity so they can still be loud if you dont have alot of watts to put to them, or they can handle a good amount of power so that if you wanted you could put an amp on them to make them even louder.
www.memphiscaraudio.com
To answer your second question first. Yes, you generally want the majority of the sound in your car to come from the front. The rear should just add some sound to tie it to a sub system and add a little ambient sound, to make it sound more natural.
I actually just ordered these speakers and adapters for my ranger. I am very impressed with the sound quality for the price. It's a convertible 3 way component set with crossovers. In the pic, they are shown as a coaxial. But, in my set up, the tweeters are mounted to the adapter plate and in pods n the A-pillar on my truck. They have great flexibility and very good sound for the price.
