You can get the software for this very cheaply on Ebay or email me and I can do it
vin # 4 car + serial number on radio + call to dealership
u will have to contact a ford dealer or whoever does the servicing on yr car, they can give it to u, for my renault it cost about £10 from my garage but i think the renault dealer charges more.

factory deck vs aftermarket deck?
[Question]
i have 2 subs with an amp, installed to a factory deck, will using an aftermarket deck really make the subs louder?
[All Answers]
aftermarket deck most of time better than stock
All the aftermarket radio will do is send better signal to yer amp. It may or may not make the subs be louder..it may, just because the aftermarket has more settings to make yer subs sound exactly how you want rather than just having a bass and treble setting like on a factory deck. So all in all, the aftermarket deck is better..
aftermarket deck
Yea because an aftermarket deck will send a cleaner signal and you will also gain better sound quality, but not every aftermarket deck is good. I recommend Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer and Kenwood.

are 2 12" kicker subwoofers good for my mustang?
[Question]
i am thinking about gettin this loaded box with 2 12" kicker subwoofers, a custom box to fit my truck, a kicker ZX400 Amp, and the wires.
this can be found at http://cgi.ebay.com/LOADED-KICKER-FORD-MUSTANG-SUB-BOX-W-C12-ZX400-1-NEW_W0QQitemZ400061022314QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d257ec06a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|293%3A1|294%3A50
i was just wondering if anybody had any feedback on this system because it doesnt have any reviews.
also, do you think the amp will be powerful enough for the subs?
my friend bought 1 12" JL audio sub and a alpine 500 watt amp, will this be anywhere close to his?
thanks for your time.
i meant to say "custom box to fit my trunk" not truck... sorry for the confusion
[All Answers]
the subs are good but I would buy a bigger amp better to much then not enough power.
There are no reviews on that particular one because that is fake.
Sure, that will be a nice budget setup. Im sure it will sound similar to your friends, if his is in a truck too. Trucks and cars have very different acoustics IMO.
Yes, the amp is powerful enough because the subs are the lowest-level COMP series, and have a low power handling. They are still pretty nice for starter/budget subs! Actually I would bet they can even handle more power than they are rated for...
"people are idiots" ---you say people are idiots, but you come in here and post the most idiotic remark so far today--- What are you talking about?
they will add some nice bottom end to your sound but don't expect to set off any car alarms and with two subs compared to one (since the wattage is still close on the two) yours will beat harder/louder
the car they are installed in makes a difference also, the same setup in two different cars can sound completely different

How do I hook up to 10 inch sub woofers to my car stereo when theres no rca plugs on my stereo?
[Question]
I have two 10 inch sub woofers with a 1000 watt amp, I know how to hook everything else up but how do I hook the RCA plugs to my stereo when I don't have an RCA input on my car stereo or head unit as they say. Some advice on hooking subs up too would be much appreciated.
[All Answers]
does ur stereo has any sub out? If it;s there ask ur techie to take out the lead from the sub out connector and feed it to the sub by a RCA socket.
You need a "line output converter"
It will allow you to grab the rear speaker wires as a source of signal, and it will convert it to low level outputs (RCA's)..... should cost 20-50 bucks if you buy one locally.... most best buys sell them for about $30...
Well i had that same problem last year, and i chose not to buy a deck for my truck. So what i did was found my back speakers and the wire to them and took my RCA wire and wired them into the wires that went into my back speakers. it worked fine for me. but i would recomend just purchasing an aftermarket deck, check ebay or craigslist becuase you can get them pretty cheap and then the job will be done right.
Hope that helps.
you will need to install one of these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i331_line-out-converters.html

Which of the four subwoofer's would you choose? Found all of these on hifisoundconnection.com?
[Question]
Is 4 Ohms or 2 Ohms the better way to go?
Kicker CVR12 Car Audio COMP CVR 12" Round Subwoofer Dual 4 Ohm
Kicker CVR12 Car Audio COMP CVR 12" Round Subwoofer Dual 2 Ohm
Kicker CVT12 Car Audio COMP CVT Shallow 12" Subwoofer Impedance 2 ohms
Kicker CVT12 Car Audio COMP CVT Shallow 12" Subwoofer Impedance 4 ohms
[All Answers]
I would not pick kicker subs.
Jl audo or orion red series.
It ALL depends on the amp you have or will purchase! You have to match the amp and sub when it comes to impedance/ohms for ideal output. The dual coils just gives you different wiring options.
I wouldnt recommend the shallow mount sub unless you need it--- its made to be mounted in small spaces where you cant fit a big sub. So if you have the room, get the regular sized subs.
Yes JL is good but a kicker sub is better over an orion any day!
The best sub out of that list is definitly the CVR dual 2 ohm.
It all depends if you are getting two subs I would go with the CVR dual 4 ohms so you can wire them at 1 ohm but you gotta get a 1 ohm stable amp
