So how loud would 2 kicker 12 inch subs in a sealed box both at 400 watts of rms. would that rattle my car. and be heard around the block?

it will be around the 120- 125 DB on the meter is not that loud but it will still make ya deaf, yes it will rattle your car so i suggest that ya get some sound proofing done it make the sound louder and cleaner, yes is will be heard around the block on a quiet day try not to annoy the neighbors, what kicker's are they?

Well....Yes an no . Yes it will be loud if you have the right box that meets the kicker specs an if its wired right.Also if you have a good amp that can provide 400 rms to each sub.But the answer is no for being heard down the block.Ohh an yes it will rattle your car. I know that everyone thinks that you have t to have a 1000 watt or more system to get hard bass will that the difference between armature shop an pro shop.The armature shop doesn't know how an a pro shop does. 6mos ago I blew the the back hatch window out of a ford escape with 2 kicker 12"L7 an a kicker 500.2 amp. Its all about the setup! If its a SOLID amp that puts out a real 400 watts, it will be decently loud, you could be heard down the block. Those subs would like a bit more power though. I would really recommend a ported box for this setup to get more output. Or else, start saving for a more powerful amp. Like a kicker 750.1



me man--- its not always about the watts dude. A high efficiency 15 in a ported box might be louder than a small inefficient 10 (think huge surround, heavy cone, 50lb magnet) in a sealed box.

1. The others are right, you've probably blown a bunch of fuses.

2. Worst case scenario you've managed to short and damage your master control system, a small computer on your car that handles a lot of electrical functions in your car.

3. Open your fuse box, and use a fuse tester to test all of your fuses. Have some 10's and 20's handy to replace fuses that are bad.

its probably hibernating, some cars hibernate in this hot weather and come out when its cooler in the winter, it helps prevent all sorts of problems assosciated with overheating
