What do you think of Wal-mart?
[Question]
[All Answers]
ummm everyday low prices....:P
SUCKS. the Walton kids are greedy. Yes most prices are low but the quality is bad.
It sells products for China, even if they can buy it cheaper in the US. My aunt use to work there.
filled with cheep junk and its always crowded and dirty. targets better
Absolutely love it for ALL shopping needs.
lots of people, headache, not having what i need, overpriced overall i hate walmart
Good prices, open 24/7. What's not to like!
As far as car audio equipment it SUCKS. The only audio equipment I would consider getting is the 4 ga. amp kit.
Check these sites out...it is a good reference.

If your headlight dims with the bass notes, the “BIG 3” might work. If not an H.O. alternator will be needed, or else be prepared to pour a lot of $$$ for batteries.
This site explains the "BIG 3" upgrades.

should i go with a 400watt rms sub or a 500 w rms?
[Question]
im having trouble choosing a sub. i have a 380 watt rms amp.
any help would be GREAT!!! thank you all
[All Answers]
you want it as close to the same rating as your amp. that is the optimal wattage rating.
Why would you want such a powerful subwoofer?
Your neighbors won't like it.
the sub wats have nothing to do with anything focus on building a good box 3/4in MDF dip screws in saw dust and wood glue and you can put a 100 watt roadmaster walmart sub and slam
Go with the 500 w Rms.
500w.....Seriously so dat u can upgrade the amp to a better one next time!!!!!

Why are the subwoofer and stereo head unit in my car not working all of a sudden?
[Question]
A couple weeks ago, my subwoofer in my car stopped working. The power light on the amp was sort of flickering. I think I have determined it is something to do with wiring, because it would come back on every once in a while, and then go back off. I was rearranging things in my trunk before it happened, and thought I might have knocked something loose. All the wires were still properly connected though.
Soon after that, my stereo head unit started doing this thing where the lights come on for a second and it beeps, then it just powers off. It keeps trying to power on, and will not stop powering on and powering off unless I take the faceplate off. It was really strange because as it powers off, I have noticed that the lights in my car sort of flicker. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on, and what I could try to do to fix it? I have no idea if the two are even related. I installed both the subwoofer and the head unit myself, and haven't had any problems untill now. All help is appreciated. Thanks!
the amp is only hooked up to the subwoofer... and I bought the subwoofer and the amp in a package so I am sure they are compatible... Thanks for the answer!

check if your amp watt capacity is enough for your speakers and woofer....you might of burned it...
It sounds like a bad earth connection, if you say the light on the amp is flickering?
maybe worth a look....?
Okay the first unit to check out is the fuse!!!Make sure it is not burned i mean both the HU and the amp.Secondly if they fine make sure that the battery is olrite but i guess it is cuz the car can start rite??So, now if all the wirings are fine go to a professional electrician and get him/her to check it out cuz this problem can be dangerous...Also make sure the Earthen of both the amp and Hu is fine also btw make sure that the amps REM is properly connected!!!
sounds as if you have a ground connection touching your power, or a not good enough ground, or a bad remote wire. it could really be numrous things. i would say take it to whom ever put it in for you an let them take a look at it. i would have to have in my site to see what the problem is.
just make sure that all your connectors are properly in their proper place an not touching each other an that whatever your ground or (-) is on the frame of your car an that whatever its grounded too that the paint is scuffed away an its down to the bare metal.
your remote wire i would check it all the way back to the head unit to see if it has any burrs that are visable an touching something else. if you have any more concerns hit me up with an email.

We need to know what car you have to help you.
You could figure this out easier if you installed the radio IN the car instead of on it.
Here's the color code for a '96 Jimmy:
Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Ground Wire: Black
Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Dimmer Wire: Brown
Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink
Amp Trigger Wire: N/A

Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue

I just got a 12- inch Kicker Comp Subwoofer and im wondering what kind of amp i need to power it.?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Well what i would use is a Hifonics Brutus 2000 class D.
I have two 15 inch kicker subs and I use a Sony amp it works great I have had it for a year no and no problems! Good luck
Best for subwoofers is a monoblock. Kicker has 4 great amps ranging from 300 to 750 watts. For a single Kicker Comp your best choice for adequate power, price, and value would probably be the Kicker 08ZX400.1. If your sub is the Comp VR with dual 4ohm voice coils, wire them in parallel for a 2ohm load and this amp matches up perfectly.
