Pretty and Fit??????? :)?
[Question]
this lad said i was really fit (as in face)
and he said that my mate was pretty.
what is the diffence between pretty and fit??
ta :)
[All Answers]
You look fit but you are plain
Your mate is good looking.
Fit is better than pretty. You usually fancy people you think are fit but you don't always fancy people you think are pretty. Sometimes "pretty" isn't even a compliment eg "I don't like him he's too much of a pretty boy"
Pretty-Cute/beautiful/lovely
Fit (sexy)-They wanna have sex with you, very attractive to them
Well...I never use the word "fit" to describe someone in a sexual manner, but I have heard people mention it and I sort of understand the difference now lol
never trust a guy who calls you fit. it's just a pretty chavvy way of generalising good looking things into one helpful 3 letter word
banging ass body
Fit means more fanciable but a bit plain, boys tend to prefer fit people. Pretty people (in boys eyes) are generally more unique and better looking than fit people, but not as "attractive".
For example:
Kim Kardashian is fit:

Jessica Stam is pretty (more like stunning)

Will a capacitor help my amp from cutting out?
[Question]
i have 2 12" subs and 1 1000 watt kenwood amp. it keeps cutting out after i turn it up for a little while. im not sure what is goin on with it. is it overheating? and if it is, then why would it be overheating?
the subs are 4 ohm
umm and they are bridged..
my wires are 4 gauge
thats pretty much all i know
[All Answers]
No, it's a common problem, with a solution that I can't emphasis this enough to people new to the field. What you have to do is find Xibit right away and get him to put another car inside of your car to power your system.
Sounds like too low of an ohm load for the amp. What's the model #s of your amp & sub? dual or single voice coils?
you probably have the amp running at an ohm load thats 2 low. If you have 2 4 ohm subwoofers and you really have them bridged, then its probably bridged at a 2 ohm load which is too low for most bridgeable amps. Unless you have dvc 4 ohm subwoofers.

Would a 600 watt (RMS) amplifier be too much draw on my car's battery?
[Question]
Hello, I just bought an Infinity 1600a mono amplifier ( http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108R1600A/Infinity-Reference-1600a.html?showAll=N&tp=115 ), which has either 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms or 400 watts RMS at 4 ohms.
I'm wondering if I hook up two 4 ohm speakers up in one box - 300 watts max RMS each, wired at 2 ohms to the amp, would I possibly have a problem with the amp drawing too much power from the battery/wiring? It's an old 91 Plymouth Voyager, so I'm thinking that this might not be such a good idea.
If so, would a single 300 watt max RMS sub be a better choice for me, so I don't damage anything?
Also, I'm wondering if an 8 gauge wiring kit would be sufficient or would 4 gauge be a better choice, and why (or what would be the difference)?
I don't know much about subs/amps/car electronics so I would just like to know what's a good idea or bad idea. Thank you
Well I guess I can't wire two 4-ohm dual voice coil subs to a 2-ohm load on the amp. But either way...
Going to bed, but I think I may just go with a single sub - 4-ohm DVC 400 watt RMS or 500 watt RMS? Still need an answer on the power.
[All Answers]
you really dont have anything to orry about untill you reach about 1000watts rms then it's best to get an audio battery a high powered altinator and the big 3 upgrade under the hood ,
ass for your situation where you plan to run 2 sub's at 2ohm pushing 600watts rms you shouldent have a problem unless your aultinator is real old as well.
as for the wiring 4gauge is good for power and ground
18 gauge is good for the remote and 12gauge is good for your subwoofer's
as for ohm loads and wiring here is a nice site http://www.crutchfield.com/S-T86n41jLeAO/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html this will tell you how to wire 2, 4ohm subs to 2ohms
The amp more than likely operates somewhere in the range of 12-14 volts. Your battery is a basic 12 volt. You may want to get a battery with a high cold cranking amperage (CCA). Somewhere around 650-700 CCA. That's if you listen to your radio a lot while the car isn't running. Your alternator puts out somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-14 volts constantly when your car is running. The large power draws come when you have your system at high volumes. So just make sureyou have a healthy battery and alternator.
How many speakers you run off it really doesn't make a difference. The amp will still only put out what it was designed to. At 2 ohms it is going to put out 600 watts whether you run 1 speaker or 4. It is a plus that it is a class d amp. They make the most of the power that they consume ( 80-90% efficient). You really shouldn't have a problem running this amp on your stock electrical system in your car.
Depending on if those 12s are 300 watts max or rms they should be the only thing you should worry about damaging. If that is 300 watts max they probably can only handle about 100-150 watts and that amp is going to kill them.
As far as wiring goes, the bigger the better.I would go with the 4 guage for a few reasons. 1)That's what is recommended on Crutchfield's site. 2)And it's probably what the manufacturer recommends. 3) You will have a loss of power for every so many feet of wire. The thicker your wire is the less of a voltage drop you will have. The 8 guage will operate the amp but it might starve it. 4)And there is also less of you having a fire. I have melted my power wires from not using heavy enough power wire.
You are right about the sub wiring. Two dual 4 ohm voice coil speakers can only be made into a 4 or 1 ohm load. Your choices are one dual 4 ohm voice coil speaker like you said, or two 2 ohm dual voice coil speakers.
It will be fine. When you go near 1000 watts rms, then you should start upgrading to a better battery. When you go above 1700 watts rms, then you should look into a high output alternator and do the Big 3.

Can ipod car adapters really cause cancer?
[Question]
I got a radio installed in my car with an ipod cable running through the glove compartment and there was a warning tag on the cable that said it contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects and the user should wash his or her hands after each use. Are the risks of getting cancer from this type of product really that serious and should I worry about it? I think it might get annoying reminding myself to wash my hands after every car ride
