My car speakers makes noise...?

Hey guys, I have a mitsubishi lancer 2004 car and It came with a cassate player. Two weeks ago i replaced the cassete with a "pioneer" CD player. But i noticed that whenever I play anything the speakers makes a very annoying noise that even becomes worse when the rpm increase while driving. For sure its not anything related to corruption in the speakers because it was working fine. Any idea what can i do to stop that ???

you need better speakers...only god knows why they put cheepie speakers in cars



you have a first class stereo and garbage speakers, you need to have first class speakers too

With cars these days they usually come with a feature that cancels out noise while increasing your RPMs, one of the ways they do this is by increasing the volume in your speakers a little bit. Sounds like when they installed your CD player they wired it wrong and now the noise gets louder as the RPM increases because of this noise reduction luxury. So go back to the place you got the CD player installed and tell them they wired it wrong.

The noise you are hearing is from the "wiring" job you did. A wire is touching the chassis in the dash. What you need is a Noise Filter or Ground loop Isolator. Here are some links to get an Idea but you can get one from any car stereo shop, radio shack or maybe walmart...

Another thing might be that the power wires are too close to the speaker wires. Also, if you are running an amp and sub, the rca wires should not be bunched up behind the radio and should not be run next to the power wires. Just remember, separate power from signal (speaker wires carry signal) as much as possible. Power will always distort signal. Plus you want to make sure you aren't using crappy wires.

It really depends on the radio, the car, and what ancillary equipment you are installing at the same time (ie Amplifier and subwoofers). If it is just the head unit (the deck or stereo) then it should be under $100. It really depends on the car though because the amount of work changes from car to car. Your best bet, if you are worried about price, is to find someone that knows how to do it to hook you up and do it for you. It is really very easy. There are just 3 wires for power (+12vdc, ignition, and ground) and 2 wires per speaker. I hope this helps. It is hard to give you much more information without knowing what type of car, stereo, ect.

Well pretty simply if you want the deepest hardest bass that you can get out of a speaker you would definitely want to go with a bandpass box.These boxes were mainly designed to get optimum bass out of any sub you put inside it.I prefer flat both subs facing one way next to each other were as you see many boxes with them across from each other facing one another.When installing subs one of the most important things is the positioning of the subs.If they are facing the wrong way the car behind you will be hearing more bass then you would be hearing 2 feet away from them.

if you head unit has 2 rca outputs then split the remote wire to both amps. run power and ground to each amp. if it only has 1 output then get Y splits and a couple in-line drivers(optional) to boost the signal.
