i don't know a whole lot either, but you should put your subs in the trunk, facing out, so when you open your trunk you can see the front.
I dont know what, but I promise you'll have to buy a FEW things.
the woofer should say on it somewhere what the MAX watts are and whatever that is you take about half of that number and thats your RMS watts usually, your amp is probably not the best one you could use but it will work even know it doesn't put out enough power but you might want to get i bigger one, in the trunk facing you when you open it would be my place only if you have DYNOMAT otherwise your trunk will rattle or put it on the backseat facing up or towards the driver and passenger seats, I don't know anything about a converter I don't one so I don't know anything about that and if your using your factory stereo you have to make sure that it has sub input/output,and pricing all depends on what brands you get and so on.
1. Dont worry about being a chick. Let it be known that 99 percent of people on here are guys, and 99 percent of them know NOTHING, even if they think they do.Theres actually a chick who answers in car audio who really knows her stuff!
2. Speakers dont "put out" watts. The power numbers on a sub is the "power handling" rating, meaning how much power from the amp they can handle. They usually come in two types of ratings-- RMS (real power!) and max or peak power (fake numbers, mean nothing). Although, pioneer uses "nominal power handling" as RMS, they just word it different.
3. 500 watt amp, as long as it is a true 500 RMS watts, is plenty for most people. It will be plenty unless you are trying to damage your hearing, and rattle your car apart.
4.pioner has always made a pretty good sub, so I am sure you are happy.
5. As long as the box is the proper size, they will sound good.
6. Put the subs in the trunk, facing rearwards (away from you). This maximizes output in most cars, but you can switch it around and pick which way you like best.
Heres a basic cheap wiring kit that is top quality! 8 gauge power wire is plenty for a 500 watt amp.

And what you need is called a "line out convertor". You can find them at a car audio store, wal mart, or online. Make sure you have a COMPETENT installer. I cant stress this enough. Having some hack who thinks he knows about car audio installs your subs can be a disaster, he might damage things!

the bass is nice and punchy
bass, i love you
For REALLY low bass, check out chopped and screwed music, there are alot of DJ's doing this now. Its your favorite songs slowed down. It originated in Texas by DJ Screw. But you can find other DJ's doing it now, ie OG Ron C, Michael "5000' Watts, Nano.
They are screwing everything from Jeezy and Wayne to 112 and Sisqo.
The bass hits very low and can be felt before being heard.
Fair warning either you will love it or hate it.
Hope this helps,

would 6x9 speakers sound better with or without speaker grill over them?
[Question]
[All Answers]
The grills dont affect the sound of the speaker. the grill is designed to keep the speaker safe from foriegn objects, dirt and sometimes sun damage. Also for its cosmetic appearance.
In my opinion, as long as it fits, use it.
Hope this helps, and happy listening
very very little difference. use a baffle or a foam cup the 6x9 sets in to help control the movement of the sub part of the speaker .. that will clear the sub level up and give it better bass levels. A grill is for protection not sound improvement.
NO DIFFERENCE WHAT SO EVER!
UNLESS! ***
you have rattling from the speaker covers. If they are mounted well, you will NOT be able to tell any difference at all.

Question about Subwoofers? for my Car!?
[Question]
K, so i'm getting two 12"s, i have a 500 watt amp, is that too weak for my speakers? Will the base still hit hard? I dont know much about about speakers... let alone an amp, so i need help you guys!
heres more details:
They're pioneer
2 years old
[All Answers]
Depending on how much watts your two 12"s have the 500 watt amp wont push them very much. You will most likely have a little bass but nothing jaw dropping. If you want them to sound a little better id go with at least a 1000watt amp. Since they are Pioneer they will sound good..if you could provide us more info on the two 12"s that would help. like watts ETC.
Heres the scoop...Ive had pioneer subs before...and basing on that there two years old..id say that there around 300 RMS watts..or around there....what youd need to do is check the RMS rating of watts on yer amplifier. If its a two channel amp...which means it has spots for two seperate subs...and it pushes around the same RMS ratings as yer subwoofer...youll be fine...just check the RMS ratings on each the subs and amp....compare them, and if there close...you should be fine..........good luck!!!!

can i hook up 4 infinity 6.5 inch 2 ohm speakers to a 2 channel 100 watt punch amplifier?
[Question]
[All Answers]
yes, but they would only be getting 50 watts a peice. You should go with a 2 channel amp that puts out 200 to each channel, so each speakers will be getting 100 watts rms.
you dont wanna use a 2 channel amp for anything other then a sub or 2 speaker if u have 4 speakers u would wanna use a 4 channel amp and if the rockford is an older one then u would prolly get 120 watts total at 2 ohms but with rockford u can usaully turn the gain all the way up and its clean power so it would be something like 60w times 2 or more like final test at 127w or 122 rockford tends to under rate alil but the actaul test could show peak potential
