I dont like rap at all anymore, but when I was younger, there was a song called "my system" by... i think it was daz dillinger, there was a remix with a constant 30hz note added. It was outrageous low bass, most systems couldnt handle it.

What are good Brand Car Audio Speakers?

I have a 2002 Honda civic Dx Coupe and i was wondering what are good brand speakers that i could put in to replace my stock ones. I would like something that is inexpensive and the quality has to be good and something that has good bass also. Right now i have an aftermarket Sony xplod deck that i just bought a few days ago. I was thinking that Alpine speakers would work but im not sure.

Apline is fine and I would probably recommend it for the price it is and the quality it works in. But if you want the premium good stuff, get Bose (it'll break your wallet though).

Alpine has the best head units for the money, as far as the rest of the components go stick with JL or Alpine. They're great, reliable, and long lasting.

Alpine is indeed good, but there are many other good brands



Go with Infinity if you want component speakers.



Also remember, stuff sounds good when its matched with its own brand. So some Sony speakers might sound just as good, only because its a Sony deck

alpine makes a nice component set (Alpine SPX-17PRO) kinda pricey, but nice. that will take care of your front stage. you don't really need rear speakers unless it's for you passengers in the back seat. rear speakers screw up the front stage imaging. spend the money you would have on the rear speakers for a subwoofer and a small amp. aftermarket speakers don't have much bass as they are meant to be used in conjunction with a subwoofer, so don't expect much bass out of them. get a single subwoofer for your trunk if you want to fill the bass void. a single 10" will be plenty for modest system.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Some for for quality others are for loudness.

Jl Audio is up there....Not too friendly on your wallet though.....I would recommend.........DD. They are a competition sub..........If your looking for something that's not too hard on your wallet but still puts out some mega bass, ceck out Boston Acoustics....One of my friends has a set of 12's and he's pushing 130 DB..........not bad....at all.....

i have a ten inch kenwood and a 500 watt amp that are brand new in box that im running in my 02 blazer...would a 10inch box from walmart and 8 guage wiring kit from walmart gonna be enough to run and sound good with my amp

well, when you buy a subwoofer, you need to know the recommended air space. say for example that your sub requires 1.0 cubic foot chamber(box). you need to shop around looking for a box that is at least 1.0 cubic foot, and is not tremendously over 1.0 cubic foot. too much can reduce the performance of the sub, too little can blow the sub.

PLEASE do not get a prefab box!!!! Never use a pre fabricated box. If you want optimum sound, box has to be custom made. And nothing from walmart is gonna sound good. recommended box size will not give you optimum sound, factory specs will only give you nominal running abilities.. Build a box 2 cubic feet with a port that is 2" wide x 12" tall x 24" deep and you'll be fine.

Mr jokester--- there is nothing wrong with a prefab box! There are many well built, fully sealed 3/4 inch boxes that are JUST FINE. You dont NEED a custom box. Although lots of prefab ported boxes are tuned too high to be very musical.



8 gauge is fine for a 500 watt amp, although it is nearing the border. If you plan un upgrading or adding another amp later, run the four gauge now and save the trouble later.



Walmart boxes are not the best... I have inspected them before for kicks, and they are usable, i wouldnt hesitate using one for a low powered single sub setup like yours if its REAL cheap and you are on a budget. Check kenwoods website to see the recommended airspace the sub requires to perform correctly. I have bought some prefab boxes off ebay, and they were all great quality. Just gotta know what to look for!

my CD player wont burn CDs any more , it gives me an error message (cant read disc), I have put in several disc and even restored the computer but dosnt work , it will play DVD s and play CDs. is it the player or a softwear fix

Try downloading the drivers for your CD burner and install them. Try using a different program to burn such as Nero. If it still doesn't work then you do have a problem with the CD burner. It can read CDs though right?

well, although this has nothing to do with car audio. i happen to know a few things about computers. it cant be the software, because if you wiped out your operating system, and rebooted it onto the computer, everything is brand new. and will work correctly. but if you tried that and it still didnt burn, then it is the burner itself, probly from normal wear and tear of the computer.

1st: Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers from the CD that came with the CD Burner or Computer



2nd: Buy a new CD Burner.



Common problem is a driver error or the drive simply stops functioning properly. On Newegg.com a new DVD-CDRW drive is only 20 shipped.
