Adam beat me to it..
look on ebay
A pair of Rockford-Fosgate Punch 1's (P1S412) is $109.99 (buy one get one free) at www.crutchfield.com. The Alpine MRP-M500 monoblock amp is $179.99. A Bass Slammer (by MTX) dual enclosure (BS212S) is $89.99. Total $379.97. But it's all good stuff, you get a warranty, and you can return it if it doesn't work or if you don't like it. Installation assistance and lifetime product support is also included.
If you are a first-time purchaser from Crutchfield, you can get an additional $20 discount plus free shipping if you use a "friend referral code" such as mine, which is: p7sdj-hrx8q-9800g. And I get a $20 merchandise credit.

what songs will rock my car system?
[Question]
and plz no heavy heavy metal -- that music aint for me
[All Answers]
Hip hop/rap tends to have pretty heavy bass. So far, that's the best genre of songs to push my Alpine Type R.
Go on youtube and search for bass songs. Watch the videos, write down the names of the songs, download them, burn to them to a CD or add them to your MP3 player, and go from there. But hip/hop has the best in my opinion.
Young Jeezy & E-40 are two good examples. I can kill my car with my 4 18's with songs buy those two.
If your going with songs that have loud or good bass try
1.Purple Ribbon All Stars-Kryptonite
2.Limp Bizkit-Rollin
3.Ludacris-Move Bitch
4.Roy Jones-Cant Be Touched(one of my favs)
pretty much any song by gorilla zoe

help with amp and stereo install in my 99 Ranger?
[Question]
I asked this question a few weeks ago but unfortunately I was not able to provide pics of what I am talking about just because I don't know how to post pics on here. I am trying to hook up an amp and new head unit in my Ranger and I am at a loss on the wiring. I have the stock harness unplugged from the Original radio and I have a new harness for it with all the open wires on the end then I also have the aftermarket stereo harness for the deck. I know the blue wire is the remote and that runs from the deck to the amp. Next I have the power wire that I think runs from the amp through the firewall to the battery(I think)? Then I have the speaker wires I think since my car does not have a factory amp I can use the Original wires that are on the harness that I purchased to connect the speaker wires to and run them to the amp? Then I have a few other wires that I am not sure about. Here is a link you can cut and paste to the address bar so you can see what wires I am talking about. One is orange + orange/black + red + black + yellow + the gray/black one. I know one of these is for like a power antenna that I don't have and the others I am not sure where they would go. Like one of them someone mentioned I would need to jump the wire to the power from my cigarette lighter but I am not sure what that wire would be or what it does. If someone could provide some help with the other wires I would really appreciate it. I would like to try and get a good start hooking it all up tomorrow. I have been trying to research but It's hard to get step by step instructions for those particular wires. Thanks for your help.
sorry I fforgot to add the link so you could see the wires I am talking about.

If your have factory harness adapter, you just match the colors of the harness to radio harness. They use the same color code to make it easy for wiring purposes. The amp is ran but the blue wire and the RCAs should be plugged in the back from the amp. Those are the only 2 wires needed from the amp. The rest of the speakers are ran by the factory harness adapter.
Yes you run red power wire from amp through firewall to battery. Use a fuse near the battery would be advised. Black or whatever color Ground wire from amp to something like your frame or somewhere to ground. Usually a bolt somewhere and use a nut of some sort. Run your RCAs from amp to your deck usually unless its to hard to get there then other options available. Run blue remote to deck as you said the blue wire. on harness. Otherwise harness you buy the correct one for make of car its all colors snap it right spot . Good luck hope you dont fry your radio or amp none the less.

Here's the wiring color code for the '99 Ranger.
Constant 12V+ Wire: Light Green
Switched 12V+ Wire: Yellow/Black
Ground Wire: Black
Illumination Wire: Light Blue/Red
Dimmer Wire: N/A
Amp Remote Wire: Blue
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Orange/Light Green
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Light Blue/White
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Dark Green/Orange
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): White/Light Green
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Gray/Light Blue
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Tan/Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Orange/Red
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Brown/Pink
The last 8 wires are the ones you will need to connect to your amp output terminals, front left pair, front right pair, rear left pair, and rear right pair. You can look on the aftermarket harness to see which color wires match up with the stock vehicle plug. Their colors should be:
White – Left Front Speaker (+)
White/Black – Left Front Speaker (-)
Gray – Right Front Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - Right Front Speaker (-)
Green – Left Rear Speaker (+)
Green/Black - Left Rear Speaker (-)
Violet – Right Rear Speaker (+)
Violet/Black - Right Rear Speaker (-)
