How much does it cost to change the speakers in your car?
[Question]
I dont know what to get my bf for his birthday and he has a "new" car although it is 1995. His speakers are shocking to say the least :-p its actually painful to listen to anything!
Soo, just wondering how much it would cost to pay someone to put somehting "decent" in there :-/
i have no idea about these things... the most i would probably pay is £200...

Mate for £200 I would do it! Are the speakers the cars originals?
If you know anyone with a background in electrical engineering (Or just a nerd) you could have them hook up recycled computer speakers in the car for you. It's cheap to do because you can get old speakers almost anywhere, thrift stores, friends, etc. If you play your cards right you can have it done for free.
it cost me £60 for my speakers (4 of them) and then it was simple to wire them up urself. im a girl and i dont ave a clue about electrics etc and it was very simple.
If you are just changing the speakers rather than stereo this can be an easy or a hard job.
If you get speakers the same size then it is a case of just taking the old ones out and putting the wires in.This assumes the connectors are the same.
If you get bigger speaker it can become difficult as you need to cut door panels and need to be careful they don't overlap with the window mechanism.
£200 should be enough for some half decent speakers and fitting an an car stereo dealer. Otherwise buy some and find a local auto electrician.
99 $ TO 200 $ I SUGGEST YOU GO FOR MTX SPEAKERS MTX COMPANY IS BEST IN CAR AUDIO
I think 200 euro is enough because im pay about 275 dollars for really good speakers, im getting polk audio, but they say polk audio, infinity and alpine have good speakers,
you should hook it up with him or something, because labor is pretty much the most expensive thing, and its pretty easy to hook up, you'll def get good speakers for 200 euro!
ps maybe you can google, for example:
"1995 honda civic speaker size" : )

4 ohm compared to 2 ohm sound quality subwoofer wiring.?
[Question]
I was wondering if there is any sound quality difference between 2 ohm independence and 4 ohm indepence. The amplifier i am currently looking at gives one channel into 4 ohms@ 300 watts. Or one channel into 2 ohms @ 500 watts. Is there any sound quality difference between the two. Thank You
[All Answers]
the less the ohms on the speaker, the louder the output with the same amount of power. the sound quality isn't much different. You just get a lot more BOOM with a 2 ohm speaker than with a 4 ohm speaker.
But your speaker has to match the output.
So, it all depends on what impedance your subwoofer is.
yes as the other person has replied also if you run two 4 ohm subs together on one channel you get two ohms so watch out how ou connect
go to www.zoopedup.com add fareed or humanfly they will help you out with better answers
if ur wanting more BOOM u should go wit a 2 ohm speaker theres not much of a sound diff just ur 2 ohm will hit a hell of a lot harder
The impedance is the resistance to power. The more resistance the less power and vice versa. In relation of resistance to ohm is the lower of ohm the less resistance. So the speaker being 4 ohm would have resistance to more power so your wattage (power) will be lower than of a 2 ohm speaker. The sound quality will be relatively close to being the same no matter what ohm you have it wired at.
The lower the Ohms, the more volts u can resist without shutting of the amp, the more volts u can resist the more watts u can push with it sounding better. So basically the lower the ohms the more volts u can resist and the watts u can push.

Is this a good setup for my car? (Honda Civic)?
[Question]
I have a Honda Civic and im 16 and soon im buying a jl audio 10w7 sub with a jl audio 500/1 amp. Then im getting a pioneer stereo and pioneer speakers. Is this a good setup for that car or will i need to buy better stuff for my car?(like a new altenator or a new aftermarket battery)
[All Answers]
THAT GOOD SETUP BUT YOU LIKE BIG BASS PUMP YOU ADD ONE OR TWO Subwoofer AND Amplifiers YOU GO FOR YOUR SETUP NO NEED new altenator or a new aftermarket battery BUT YOU GO FOR MY SETUP YOU NEED new altenator AND new aftermarket battery
rohan is correct
thats a good setup. i would go with the jl audio hd 750/1 amp plus with this amp you will save space. also the interior speakers i would go with focal speakers or old school mb quartz.
