i got two 12 audiiobahn in my car but i want to knw if its going to be fine if i put a pioneer amp of 1500 wat?

What's the model number of the subs and the amp you are thinking of? You have to know the rms watts and impedence of the subs.
It's not going to push them to their full potential. Your subs RMS ratings combined are around 3,000-4,000w RMS and the amp is probably drawing less than 1,500w RMS. I don't know of any Pioneer 1,500 watt amp either so I can't really help on the exact RMS rating. But I suggest you go by RMS watts, rather than peak wattage.
1) The audiobahn's truly handle around 350 RMS. Most people buy these subs because of the extremely overrated power handling, the chrome, and huge magnet. The subs are in all honesty, awful. But hey, you could have done worse...
2) The "1500W" Pioneer amp is only about 150W RMS.
(I am a Pioneer dealer...)
Get some real subs and a good amp. Try your local stereo shop.
if the subs are 750 each, any 1500 watt amp will handle it aslong as it is the correct impedance. (ohms). The brand doesn't really matter, but obviously some brands are better than others.
yeah if u only had one then u would be asking for trouble.but u have 2 twelves ad together thats like a 1000 watts so yeah. but dont worr bout the amp thats the last thing thats gonna go
info needed to PROPERLY match amps and subs
the subs voice coil setup (DVC or SVC)
the subs impedance (ohms)
the final impedance at the amp (how the subs are wired)
the number of subs
the subs RMS (continuous) wattage
or
the model numbers

I just put subs in my car. They work pretty good until i drive for a couple minutes then my subs shut off?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Is your amp overheating? That would be my guess. make sure it has good airflow over it.
how loud are you turning it up? and are the fuses blowing. if you turn it up too loud you'll clip the signal and send it all in to protect mode.
u may b overheating ur amps or sending in into safe mode cas teh volume is too high..... or u may need a capacitor cas ur pullin too much juice.....try settin ur amp at a lower lvl and see if that works....also u can never hav 2 big of ground a 2 small ground can cause this problem.....just keep testing till u figure it out.. good luck
There are a few possible problems here. First, if you just let your car sit, will they still shut off? Or is it only the actual 'driving' part that makes them shut off.
Second, how many subs, and how many voice coils per subs, and what is the impedance (how many ohms) for each sub?
What you've probably done is connect too many subs in parallel to your amp, therefore causing an impedance lower than what the amp can handle. Since the amp can't handle such low resistance, it goes into 'protect' mode (shuts off)
If this is the case, you'll have to do some re-wiring. There are a bunch of different possibilities, so to keep from typing a novel, first get back to us with the amp specs and the subs specs and we can help you from there.
the amp is protecting your speakers and itself
to maximize clean signal strength from your amp, you need to adjust the gain or input sensitivity settings. Here's how:
Set the input sensitivity controls of your amplifier to their minimum level (counter clockwise).
Put in a CD and turn the receiver's volume control up (you might have to raise the amp's gain just a bit to hear the music).
When you hear distortion, stop. Turn the volume down until it disappears. As much signal as possible is passing from the receiver to the amp. This maximizes the signal-to-noise ratio, and leaves your system less prone to engine noise problems. Keep the volume setting here.
Now turn the gain controls on the amplifier up until it's as loud as you'll play it. If you hear distortion, slightly decrease the gain settings.
Now you've optimized the amp's output with the receiver's volume set near maximum. You can turn the volume almost all the way up and not damage your speakers or amplify distortion. If you're hooking up a subwoofer, a test disc (or bass-heavy CD) is helpful for making final adjustments.

wen i hooked up my speakers they sounded good but wen i crank up da car it like a whining sound. wat is it?
[Question]
wat could it be and y if possible
[All Answers]
mine do that to when you accelerate do they do it even worse?
it's either the ground wire or if your car has a stock amp, you have to try and bypass it because it causes that noise
there are wires touching each other, that shouldn't be touching.
they are causing feedback. you may have to go back and see where there are other wires that touch the speaker's wires and try to keep them away, or separated.
its alternator wine try a ground loop isolator or a better ground

Im looking into buying a gps for my car. Im looking to spend 200 or less on it. What is a good one to look at?
[Question]
[All Answers]
anything by garmin or tomtom
Garmin nuvi 205. Or really, if you can't get that one, anything from Garmin will be good. Tomtom has a horrible interface, and Magellan is prone to breaking.

Infinity amps and subs?
[Question]
I have all infinity interior speakers and couldnt be happier with them but i really need an amp and a sub or two. I really dont know which brand to go with? i wanted to go with infinity just so everything can match but i havent heard any infinity amps or subs in person so idk if theyre good. any suggestions?
[All Answers]
Infinity is a decent sub company but if i were you I would go with a good set of either kickers or mtx for good all around sound or if you want a ton of bass go with eclipse. I had one and use to shake my rear view mirror off.
As for amps go with any brand. I use a Scosche I bought at wal mart and its lasted longer than any of my other amps.
Square kickers 400$ a pop they hit hard and have good bass
If your willing to spend a little bit of money get two 12" L7 kickers they kick hella good, and sound great, then get a 750 bridgeable amp you will prollyhave the loudest system around for under like 800 dollars
