sorry but your not gonna find a good amp that puts out 500 actual watts rms for 150. unless you buy used which i wouldnt unless its from a friend that you know and trust and heard it. save your money and get the kicker zx500.1 thats perfect.

good info from this website
this is the cheapest i could find it new for you... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-KICKER-ZX500-1-500-WATTS-MONO-NEW-08-09-08ZX500-1_W0QQitemZ250489636040QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Amplifiers?hash=item3a525884c8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
$190 thats a DAMN good deal.
A good class D sub with the voice coils wired parallel to lower the ohms down to 1 ohm and you'll be powering at the max you can handle. I would recommend a MTX classD, Kenwood class D, or check with a local stereo shop, electronics express, best buy, for a sale price to fit you're budget.
The golden rule of sub power states to put the power where it matters... find a good amp that will handle making close or at the recommended power rating in RMS ( a 500 wattRMS @ 4ohm)
Most class D amps are variable power making 250@4ohm 500@2ohm and 1000@1ohm, and are cheap priced compared to a class A/B amp which is more for sound quality than shaking the glass.
The kicker zx500, alpine mrp500, or the rockford fosgate 501s would be fine...
Theres many good 500 watt RMS mono block amps out there that would be good for that 15 kicker.

6x9 car speakers install?
[Question]
hi, I had a active sub and amp professionally installed to my Languna and was wondering if i could fit a couple of 6x9s as well by running wires from the sub? i dont know much about this sort of thing so be gentle lol
ive got the standard renault head unit which is running the 2 front door and 2 rear door speakers, then the active sub in the boot. i thought i might need a seperate amp for the 6x9s, so how would i fit that? thankyou
[All Answers]
Noooo!!! Unless you want a fire in the wiring... Your 6x9's will have to be powered either by the head-unit, or, preferably, by a seperate amplifier. What are the current speakers running off? You could fit a 4 channel amp, and have it run 2 rear 6x9's and 2 front 6.5"s in the front-doors.
yeah you should be able
no run wires from your car radio to the speakers. If you use the wires going to your subs to power the 6x9s to they will blow up BOOM!

I got ripped off by someone who uninstalled my Pioneer radio off CL. Radio now does not work. Can it be fixed?
[Question]
What they did was cut the cords to get the radio out...now apparently it still works but cuts off for no reason. Can this be fixed?
This is the one I have: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ACbEX1ul7oR/p_130DEHP780/Pioneer-DEH-P7800MP.html
Thank you so, so much for any help you may have.

I would check to see if you can buy a replacement harness, and start over.
It sound like the wires after been cut where then rejoined by twisting them together and then I hope some electrical tape was put on each.
You need to find an installer who can redo the wiring. It sounds like a wire is loose.
Although that said, even if it was working OK, as this is not the correct way to join wires it would have to be sorted out and done correctly.
Ok. First take it in, and let someone else check it. It may, or may not be able to be fixed! So try that, and if you really, really got ripped off, you may want to consider a lawsuit! If it isn't bad, don't file a lawsuit! So just do that, and see if it works. If it doesn't, you would be better off to buy a new one! Hope this helps!

should i buy walmart brand stereo/speakers?
[Question]
Ok so i wanna get a stereo that wont break the bank, i saw a stereo and car door set for $150 but idk anything about that stuff, would it be a good buy or should i look at more expensive stuff? also i wanna get a subwoofer for alot of bass, theres a sony 12" box for $100 with max of 1000 watts, is that a good buy?
[All Answers]
Why not @ least you know you can take it back for warranty if need be
and the have some name brands as well. I doubt your trying to win any stereo system sound offs if your concidering wal-mart and you don`t want to break the bank. Should do for what you need
hmm! sounds like u starting out or just not that familiar with car audio so i say grab the deal from walmart as a start and then as u go on, upgrade later!
It's easier to build a system piece by piece and also less expensive when on a budget.
You can pick up some high end stuff for low prices online
That sony couldn't handle 400 watts RMS all the cheap stereo brands do is put big numbers on their products to sell to the uninformed buyers - good money maker for them.
Buying online if you look around enough you should be able to buy the same stuff you see in the stores for about 33% less
Shop around
