High consumption electronics are high consumption.
u crossed wires some how!!! check the harness
Fuse blown, pulling too many amps, could also be the main fuse block under the hood.
The fuses are blown, or you crossed some wires. Retrace what you did you should find what happened
Because Jakey Man Your Amp And Sub Are Overloading The Car Batteries And Maybe The Wiring Also Isn't Correct.
And Be Careful Because This Might Have Destroyed Some Of The Electronic Devices In Your Car.
Best Of Luck
my question is why the heck didnt you take that bad baby to Cash for Clunkers and get yourself an upgrade? Duh!

what value fuse do i use for my amp?
[Question]
i have a lightning audio 250 watt 2 channel amp and it has 2 20 amp fuses inside the actual amp, so does that mean i need to use a 40 amp fuse when i connect the power wire to the battery? i feel like if just assume its a 20 amp fuse it will blow right away...but at the same time i dont want to use too large of a fuse if it puts anything at risk.
[All Answers]
Think about it this way if there is a surge of power over 40 amps and you using a 60 amp fuse in your power wire... its going to not break and its gonna bust your fuses on your amp because they are 40 amps so your fuse isnt offering any protection for your amp.
Try to run same value of fuses or as close as possible without going under the fuse value of the amp.
Your using that fuse to protect your investment sitting in the trunk .
Your 250 watt amp is powered by a less than 14 volt power supply. Watts are calculated by amps times volts. You know the volts and you know the watts. That means that normally the amp will draw less than 18 amps. A 20 amp fuse will protect it from bursts above 20 amps and you should be fine under normal operation with it. If you really want to be cautious, try a 15 amp fuse on the power wire unless you plan to run it full power all the time. That can hurt you.
The fuse inline with the power wire is only there to protect the battery NOT the amp if the amp already has a fuse in it. That means you would choose a fuse based on what size wire you are using.
If you are using 8 gauge wire don't use a fuse larger then 100A and if you are using a 4 gauge wire then don't use a fuse larger then 150A. So as long as the fuse is equal to or higher then the fuse in your amp and lower then the wire's max current rating you will be fine.
Good Luck!!!

making car antenna stronger?
[Question]
I need to get a station, on my car radio. and its kinda fuzy and you cant hear much. Anything I can do?
[All Answers]
There are antennae "boosters" available, but past experience has shown they don't work well...most likely the station is either too far away or does not have as much wattage as main radio stations
by a newer antenna thicker an longer
Just Take A Full Foil Paper Roll And Keep Rolling It Evenly All Over The Radar Or Antenna. Should Do The Work. Although It Might Just Look A Little Odd So Cover It Will Something Like Colourful Tapes And All.

Alpine 10in vs alpine 12in?
[Question]
And what kind of box?
Type R's. Forgot to add that in
[All Answers]
12" and if you have the room a ported enclosure, not the best SQ, but it is noticeably louder... 12 has more surface area, which means it SHOULD be able to produce a higher SPL, but there are many factors involved... Feel free to I.M. or E-mail me, if you need help...
In my opinion sealed box... and if your listening mostly to hip hop then 12's. Hip hop is decent highs and lots of bass.
if your listening to rock i would suggest 8's or 10's. Rock is mostly highs and mids and little bass.
If you have the space then get the 12" Type-R.
Put it in a ported enclosure. The Type-Rs excel in ported applications so I recommend them for almost every occasion. The only time I would recommend sealed is if you are looking only for sound quality or if you don't have the space for a proper sealed enclosure. If you are looking for sound quality setup then I wouldn't recommend a Type-R though. They are not bad at SQ but there is much better out there.
Good Luck!!!
