What neon is legal for car?
[Question]
I am looking to put some neon in the trunk of my car with the subwoofers. I don't know very much about the subject but I think im going to get streetglow tubes.
Where can you put neons on a car and them be legal, if anywhere?
Best color neon?
[All Answers]
if theyre in the trunk
its pointless
nobody is gonna see them
you can have them under your car but not on while your moving, only when your parked to make it legal, or you can have them anywhere inside your car, that too is legal. just under the car while moving is illigal.
be sure to practice with a pickle =O
Having them in the trunk shouldn't be a legal issue because no one will be able to see them while you're driving, thus it's not a hazard.
I have an underglow kit (Street Glow) that my state allows as long as it's a solid colour, not red, and you can't see the tubing. It's illegal in most states, especially while driving, so definitely flip through your laws if you're going to do it.
Laws very from state to state.
Here in NY you cannot have any additional exterior lighting period.
Ticket received will be unnecessary exterior lighting.
As far as interior goes as you cannot be able to see the bulb itself from the outside. The light emitted from it is ok.
Also tickets can be given for certain colors because they are reserved for official use:
Red/Blue = Emergency Vehicles
Yellow = Construction and Road Crews
Green = Conservation
Best bet is to look into local laws, and do not take an officers word for it, do the research yourself, I have had many tickets thrown out in court because the citation was not valid.
You can put them in your trunk, I have some in mine. You can put them anywhere INSIDE of your car and you'll be fine. You can also put them around your license plate.
You can have some under your car, but they must be off as you're driving. When your car is parked they can be turned on, just as long as you're not moving.
I have my 2 subs in my trunk with a soft blue neon going on, it looks really nice. My car is a blue sedan, so it complements it very well.
As far as color, usually go with an either darker, or softer version of the color of your car. If your car is black, gray, white, or any non-color, go with your favorite color of crayola. A white with a red neon look, some red rims, or some red decals looks good! A black car with blue neons looks ninja-esque. Etc.
You probably already know what color you want anyway :p

check consumer reports. I didn't and I got a tom tom and It is the worst also. I paid over 150 and It got me lost and I sold it to radio shack for 18 dollars and Im waiting to get consumer reports so I get a good gps.
I looked to get one for myself a while back and the Garmin and those big names werent' what they were made up to be.
i got the MIO, it was 129 but it on sale at Kmart for 99 now.
lots more features on the MIO and it also has spoken street names, that version of Garmin 200 i had didnt have it. and you needed an exact location, couldnt search for intersections with Garmin with MIO you can.
read reviews online about them and make your own decision

what is the best part to attacht the ground for your amp?
[Question]
part of the truck other than battery
[All Answers]
the body or frame
the body of the car.. or look for a screw around where you going to put the amp and then ju make sure there is no paint an u should have a good ground there
You shouldn't even try to ground it to your battery anyway. Ground it to the body of ur car under the carpet (if u have carpet). Use sanding paper or something to sand away the paint to get a proper ground and screw or drill the wire down to the bare metal
I recommend that you ground your amp to a heavy-duty bolt, like a seat bolt or a seat belt anchor. The one important point about ground cable: it should be exactly the same size as the power cable that's going in to the amp. The entire frame of the vehicle should provide you with a close grounding point. I recommend grounding the AMP as close as possible to its mounted location. You can avoid ground loop problems when your components are grounded separately Ground your amplifier using as short a piece of cable as possible, and to as thick a piece of metal as possible. The longer the ground cable, the more resistance can build up — and that can causes noise problems.Never ground the amplifier to thin sheet metal; this is how you get noise in the system,

Do u know what this is?
[Question]
I was at home and walked out the door of my house and saw a white unmarked car, like a detective. It was white, had red writing on white plates and the windows were clear with large antennas I think there was a search light aswell. I was wondering if anyone knows who they are. It was parked about a block down and left when I got into the car, almost like as soon as they saw me. Who could they be?
[All Answers]
It could have been an undercover. Not saying they're looking for you, but maybe like a runaway suspect that is thought to be in your area, thus they may have been watching out.
Probably just someone that bought an auctioned fire-chief car. In Virginia you can get plates with all sorts of random pictures, like a red heart that could look like a badge/emblem at a distance. All the taxis around me still have the search light on the windshield because they're all auctioned cop cars.
its black ops there getting ready for a take down in your area!!
