Does the size of the power cord have an effect of the Amps total output?
[Question]
Does the size of the power cord have an effect on my amps total output power to make my subs beat harder. i have an spl amp and the directions say use a 4 gauge wire but im using a 6 gauge power and ground wire hook up. would changing to 4 gauge make any kind of difference?
[All Answers]
It can but you have to test it to see whether you notice the difference.
Think of it this way. You have a pool of water a pump and two hoses. You want to empty the pool quickly. So which hose are you going to use the garden hose or the fire hose. The small hose has a greater restriction and will take much longer right. Well wiring works much the same way the larger the wire the more current can flow the better power supplied the better the sound. If your powering subs look to getting a capacitor to keep the power up on the big bass hits
with that thick of wire u can power king kongs big ass in their no worries spanky
you have to switch to the 4 gauge, because using a smaller wire will cause damage.
Depends on the amp.. Low watt amp, it wont, but for amps with more output need more juice... Tell us what amp you have and we can give you a more detailed answer.

If you could have any subwoofer in the world...?
[Question]
which one would it be and why
[All Answers]
The digital Design sub. It currently holds the world record in db. ( single subwoofer)
MTX 9500 weights around 40 oz just the magnet has around 1000 watt rms and 2000 watt max. and its a 12 inch sub can find them on certain sites for only 400$ a piece come sin svc or dvc.
I want try the new fi btl 21 inch subwoofer and it still in the making, but there other good brandlike dd, rd audio, sundown, psi, tc sounds, thatjust some of good brands and those not mainstream subwoofer and i think they are one of best subwoofer to buy not so expensive andstill out do most mainstream subwoofer.
that big ass MTV pimp my ride subwoofer i think it was a MTX Jackhammer (maybe 2, one in place of my rear seats and one in the bed of the truck)
i would love to have a dd sub or a 18'' fi btl cuase they both have a awsome bass response

how can i get more bass from my trunk?
[Question]
ok so i have 2 15'' boss audio subs and im trying to get more sound from the trunk to the inside of the car and i dont need no more power cuz i open the truck and it takes your breath away
and there being pushed by a kicker xr1000.1
[All Answers]
face your subs to the rear seats, then adjust it to where you want it usin your stereo.
First of all, I am not the one to bash, What kind of amp are you using?
Those subs aren't handling the high end power they should be, Ive got 1 15' rockford sub it pushes close to 400 rms, Its pounds way to loud, U can hear me least 1 block or 2 away, @ vol 22 my back is bouncing off the seat. If you got a good amp, Get different subs, That will work better for you.
If your back seats fold down. Fold them down. That pressure will come through that area and into the cab. Let the window down too. It helps too.
You need to upgrade those pathetic excuses for subs. Boss audio is actually worse than Sony car audio. Get some real subs bro. I highly doubt that those subs can handle the 500 watts rms that they are getting. Ditch the Boss audio 15's and pick up 2 HCCA 10.4 those will absolutely destroy the subs you currently have. Visit www.sonicelectronix.com
They are only 200 each.

Hey guys i was wondering if i can power my 2 10" kicker comp with my Kicker 08ZX300.1 amp?
[Question]
My subs are Kicker Comp 07C104
My amp is Kicker 08ZX300.1
I have them in a ported box in the trunk of a mazda 3 not the hatchback!
Thank you
[All Answers]
Yes you can because they are 150 rms 300 watt max so you would be getting 150 watts to each subwoofer and it will push them fine.
You have the 07C104 which is the 4ohm verison. If you had the 2ohm verison http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8748_Kicker+07DC102.html then that amp would be perfect because the amp is 300x1@2ohm. You need a amp that is 300x1@4ohm.
Your only choice is to get the 2ohm verison or buy a amp that is 300x1@4ohm.
Cap, those are SVC subs he has.
OP: That amp is perfect for those subs.
don't listen to CAP!!!! all you have to do is wire you the sub to be 2ohm instead of 4 by connecting the - of sub1 to the + of sub2 then run the - of sub2 to the amp and the + of sub1 to the amp

What kind of amp should i put on 2 kicker cvr 15s?
[Question]
[All Answers]
It has a dual voice coil 250 wrms each, I was suggested this amp for my subs that would be a perfect match for yours http://www.millionbuyplus.com/view_product.php?itemno=KOLTRAX1-1800D&category=CarAudio&sub=PowerAmplifier&last=AmpKole&KOLE-AUDIO-TRAX1-1800D It puts out 250 wrms for each voice coil which is what you want. Don't forget wire them parallel.
Hey man don't get kole amplifier they don't do rated power! get 800 watt amplifier and you will be happy and parallel you subwoofer.

Which CVRs did you get, the dual 2-ohm or the dual 4-ohm coils? Need to know that to recommend an amp.
