What equipment would be best for the money?
[Question]
I'm looking for somethin that gets right down and pounds! like hardcore, both subs, and front end, was hoping for some suggestions, I've been messing with car stereo stuff for a while, but open to new things, hoping to save some money and do something just insane, and amazing

Kicker subs and amps. speakers, maybe pioneer? not really sure about that......you'd have to look that one up.

I wouldn't suggest anything less than JL for a real stereo. Skip the MTX, Kicker, Rockford Fozgate junk and head to a real stereo store where JL is still considered entry level. Want something better? Give Boston Accoustics a try. Just one 12" Boston will blow the doors off any pair of subs by the brands I listed before. Match that with a decent amp, I'd go at least Alpine and some Polk interiors and you're set.

whats the best cutting tool to cut speakers holes in rear dash of car?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Probably a jigsaw if there's enough room for it. Drill a hole first, then put the jigsaw blade in and jigsaw away. If I hear that thumping bass coming from your car, then I'll break in at night and fill your speakers with dog crap.
A rotary tool with a tip small enough that it can just cut through the rear dash. Something like the link below.
Same as above, choose him as best answer.

if i want a usb input in my car cassette player what should i do??what circuit can i use?
[Question]
[All Answers]
You should buy an aftermarket radio with a USB port. Adding one to an existing radio is not feasible.
The other answer's right. Unless you're a computer genius you're not going to be able to figure it out on your own. Buy a new stereo, it'll be under $200 installed.
I agree with the other 2 you could buy an aftermarket stereo to install in your car but I do have some other options. You can purchase a MP3 player with a usb option or if your cassette player has an auxiliary / line in port. you can line in your lap top computer into your Cassette player axillary ports using y cable that plugs into your lap top headphone jack. the Y cable can be purchased speaker accessories section at best buy or Radio shack. Now if your unit doesn't have a line in or aux port then you can try a short term transmitter like an I trip which will allow you to hear your music from your MP3 player or lap top when you turn it to a selected station. Unless you have a classic car then I see no need for a cassette player anymore (Cassettes who still uses those.???:-)

how much should i sell my subs for?
[Question]
How much could I sell my 2 mtx 4200 series subs for with a sledge hammer box and a 500 watt amp for?
[All Answers]
$2
I don't know how good they are i say around 200-300
Bad news, used stereo equipment isn't worth hardly anything. MTX is an entry level brand, that's going to hurt resale value even more.
Brand new there's a pair of 12" MTX subs and a 1000W amp for only $118.00 on ebay right now.
So . . . knowing your amp is half what there's is and used . . . $30 - $40.
Sorry, I told you it was bad news.

What is the best portable GPS system for a sane price?
[Question]
[All Answers]
I am using TomTom GPS. They start at about $100.00
Garmin and Magellan are other two brands.
Should range between $100.00 to 300-400.
Check out feature and what fits your budget.
These should be available at any local electonic store or department store.
I bought the Garmin nuvi 205w after experience and return of two Magellan products for about two weeks, the two Magellans, Maestro 3225 and Roadmate 1412 were buggy and felt cheap compare to Garmin.
The Garmin nuvi 205w is just great, responsive, clear maps, extremely quick satellite reception from a cold start, you don't even have to be outside, just standing next to a window will do the trick. Built quality is superb, it feels like a little brick, the PC software to load IPO's is great; you can also look for an address on Google maps and click "send" to load the location to the Garmin.
Accuracy in busy NYC streets is amazing, it will recalculate after half a block when you miss a turn, also, on the Henry Hudson Pkwy it will detect if I'm on the main road or the service road, and they are really close to each other.
So far I'm very satisfy, easy to use, responsive and does not have anything that I don't need !
Garmin nüvi 205W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator
Price:$159.51

A Garmin Nuvi 220 is a very good GPS especially for beginners. it's portable & very user friendly, You can use it for not just only Driving but also for Bike Riding, Walking, or Hiking and other off road activities. the maps are preloaded and it has points of interests also. the 2 features I like are the Business Name recognition- instead of typing the address If it's a business I can type the name of the business and all the locations show up. and the security feature. I can put a lock code on the device and set an unlock location. So incase I enter the wrong code if I bring my GPS to my security location house , Job etc it will unlock. The Prices are Reasonable I bought mine a year ago for $240. now that newer models have come out you can purchase the same model at $150.00 New you can find Gps Used for as low as $75.00 I would check online
