what burned cd should i use or whats the problem?
[Question]
my 1998 dodge neon wont play burned cd-r. what
[All Answers]
its the format you used to record it id bet it plays in hose dont it try different format when recording it
Some factory decks WILL NOT play cd-r's, I've had it happen.
CD-R's are not engraved as deeply or cleanly as a produced CD is
Therefore some deck have trouble or cannot at all read the engraving left by the computers laser.
Some just cant read em... sorry
It won't play them....Buy a new deck.

My sirius radio got stolen, can the police track that and get it back for me?
[Question]
I just spent $160 on the faceplate, receiver, etc. and now it got stolen. Am I screwed?
I had the sportster if that helps.
[All Answers]
Have sirius shut it off and report it stolen to them. Then when they try to activate it (which takes the serial number) they will want the new "owners" credit card info. The police could track it from this.
it could be traced but the chances arte too low of u finding yo stereo!!!!.....
A satellite radio is a receiver only, not a transmitter, so there's nothing for the police to track. There's no way to locate the receiver. You can contact Sirius and inform them about the theft; then they can shut off service to the receiver. I have seen Sirius replace stolen equipment before, when the alternative was to lose a subscriber; however, I don't know if they'll still do that now that they've merged with XM.

i have a pioneer sub with 250w nominal. how strong of an amplifier should i plan on buying.?
[Question]
what would be the optimal nominal power rating i should look for when deciding on the amplifier to purchase to power this sub?
[All Answers]
Look for an amp rated at 250 watts RMS at the impedence of the sub. What is the voice coil configuration of the sub? SVC or DVC? Impedence of each coil, in the case of DVC?
Added: After reading your e-mail, I looked it up. That is a SVC 4-ohm sub. So an amp rated at 250x1@4-ohms is what you need for one sub. You are going to use one sub, right?
Chris, judging by the way he worded the question I think you lost him at voice coil config.
If we're talking the Pioneer TS-SW301 sub here - that's a 4 ohm single voice sub.
You'll want to look for an amp that is 250W x 1 RMS at a 4 ohm load.

Which car stereo?? Need help deciding!?
[Question]
Which stereo would u go for?? I know pioneer is more expensive but I don't want to pay almost $100 more if I can get the same features from the jensen. THANX!

Get the Pio. I know they are expensive but they are strong and long lasting machines. I work in an audio shop and most of the time when i'm swapping radios its a jensen to something else. Also the jensen's internal amp for the speakers runs at lower RMS then the pio which means no loud and clear music.
Jensen=crap
pioneer=okay
alpine=better
eclipse=best
I don't see any thing wrong with the Jensen...I have heard good things about them...I know they are less expensive but people who own them say good things about them...I use pioneer myself because I think it is a better value than Alpine and Kenwood which both are also good...

What do you all think would be louder. Two 12" mtx 9500s in a ported box or two 15" 9500s in a sealed box? Tks?

I think the two 12's in the ported box.
The two 12's in the ported box.
what do you want, SQ or SPL? want it to sound better or hit harder, but not get as loud?
i would personaly go with a ported box for those subs
