Your teacher sounds like she has a problem. That is not normal and school should be a environment where you feel comforatable and if you are not then you need to let someone like your parents know. I would stay away because it could cause serious problems. Tell her to back off because she is creeping you out.

is it all right to run 4 subs on a 4 channel amp?
[Question]
im planing on running 4 Pioneer Premiers off a a 1600 crunch 4 channel amp so im just wondering is it allright to run 4 subs on a 4 channel amp
[All Answers]
sure
but most 4 channel amps arent designed for a lot power
you be better getting two mono block amp. put 3 in parallel and one series to get 2 ohms. then you set.
Yes it's possible.
Not the ideal set, the subs will probably be very underpowered but it can be done.
I'll assume the subs are single 4 ohm voice coil since you didn't specify.
You can one up to each channel, the amp will see a 4 ohm stereo load. The amp will not be over stressed, but the subs won't have a ton of power.
You could also bridge the first to channel's of the amp to two of the speakers, depending how you wired it the amp would see either an 8 ohm bridged load or a 2 ohm bridged load. Then do the same to the third and fouth channels of the amp to the other two speakers.
The 8 ohm bridged load won't upset the amp either, but again weak power output. The 2 ohm bridged load will definitely increase the power output, Probably by double, but if the amp can't handle it then it will overheat quickly and possibly fry itself.
A really good amp wouldn't have a problem with this, however I don't believe the Crunch amp to be one of these.
Best bet, sell the Crunch amp or use it to power your interior speakers, then get a proper sub amp.
What I would actually do if it were my system and I had to use what I had would be to just use two of the subs. Save or sell the other two. Bridge the first two channels to one sub and the third and fourth to the other sub. 4 ohm mono load, amp should be fine and subs should have decent power.

Kicker :)
The Rockford Fosgates, hands down. I've heard those exact subs and they are AMAZING! My friend had identical Kickers which didn't hit nearly as hard as the RFs.

System Question Help?
[Question]
Im about to buy a Hifonics BXI 2010 Mono block amp to power my 2 12" CVRs DVC 2ohms each (I know this is overkill but o well) If i set the gains correctly will my sub be safe??
and will i need to upgrade my stock electrical system so the amp wont kill it??
I drive a 97 Toyota Camry
and im thinking about keeping my 4 Channel Lanzar Heritage 1200Watt amp in there to power my mids and highs
A detailed answer would be nice and im more concerned about the hifonics blowing the subs even at the lowest gains on the HU and the amp
[All Answers]
Im not gonna go into great detail but I will say the 1. Hifonics are over rated so your probably not gonna get what it states...2.Most people argue that running too big of an amp on speakers will blow them...yes and no....most of the time, speakers are blown from using too small of an amp and the person then tries to compensate this lack of power by turning the gains all the way up and the amp then sends a clipped signal. That is usually what blows a speaker...yes you can also blow subs/speakers by over powering as well.
But to answer your question, you can use a larger amp than the subs ratings as long as you adjust the gains accordingly. Most likely 1/8 up to 1/4....but try to use a meter if you can.Use your best judgement if not using a electric meter. If your an avid car audio enthusiast, then you know when your subs are over working and when they sound like poop!
Personally I reccomend running a "slightly" oversized amp to subs, but many others like to argue.Ive been installing amps since I was 16 years old....Im now 36...on top of that Im a licensed electrician to boot.
So I suggest you go ahead with your little endevour....you can always add more subs :) lol
anything lower that 1 ohms will put the amp in protect. even at the lowest gain. the only way to blow the subs are to much gain, lpf set to high, and the headunit bass is up. your electrical will be suffering alot pressure. it will fail prematuraly. i suggest getting a 200+ amp. alternator to accomodate your system. upgrade your battery and the "big 3". just to be one the safe on your equipment. rewire the subs to 1 ohm. get a distribution block. if you decide to keep the second amp.

REALLY 10 POINTS: Rockford Or Kicker?
[Question]
Which amp is better OVERALL between these two??
Kicker

there both top of the line amps. either one you pick will be a Very good choice, just look at your sub ohm and rms and match it to the amp that is closest. what ever subs you have they will shake your car for sure.
My opinion kicker is the better amp it is made of higher quality material to last for years it can work at top form in the hottest of car trunks without a built in fan for the reason i listed and gives more than enough power with out having to do much.
