How loud is a 900W car subwoofer?
[Question]
I'm getting my car in about 2 months. I gotta have the subs. I love the bass. So, I found a single 900W subwoofer 15" online for about $85. I want to know is how loud is this going to be?

hi
It will be loud because it is a 15 inch sub. But it depends also on your amp and power capacity. You dont wanna go to loud if you have bad midranges because you could blow them. I have 2 12s that slap because I have a monoblock amp. It depends but it will be loud. If your cars cab is also not that big it will definitely be loud. Depends on where you put it, etc.

doesnt know what he's talking about... 900 watts PEAK means about 150 rms. you will pop it before you get to enjoy it a week. save your money and get real gear
GOOD SOUND IS NOT CHEAP
CHEAP SOUND IS NOT GOOD
Look for something with a high sensitivity (88db+) for a 15".Also don't look at peak ratings, the RMS is what matters. What type of sub is it? The loudness depends mostly on the enclosure. Buy a ported box tuned around 38 hz if looking for spl, if looking for quality go 30-34hz.Or if you're handy you can always build one. Need any help e-mail me, jaes91@yahoo.com.
First of all it depends on what brand sub it is. Not all subs are made equal. Just because they say 900 watts it could mean a multitude of things. Is it 900w rms...or is it 900W max? If it is a good quality then you need to see about having a box built for the specs of the sub. But if it is good quality then it should hit pretty darn good, just make sure that your highs and your mids are good also.

Will my 12" kicker L7(one sub) blow up if I wire it to a 2000 watt Hifonics amp?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Just turn the wattage down on the amp (it should have a knob). Dont max it out.
No It shouldnt because u wont turn the gain all the way up, I hope and Hifonics overate their amps anyway.
This is the Hifonics specs, RMS wise:
# RMS Power @ 4 ohms: 650 watts x 1
# RMS Power @ 2 ohms: 1300 watts x 1
# RMS Power @ 1 ohm: 2000 watts x 1
This is the sub:
50-750 watts RMS power range
Using this information, I would suggest wiring it to 4 ohms (since it's a DVC you can do this), and the amp will be near perfect. Have fun! By the way, those people are using the gain completely wrong... And apparently don't know what they are talking about.

Subwoofer for my 2008 honda accord?
[Question]
I need to know if i can hook up sub woofers to my stock radio.. is it possible?
[All Answers]
Do you have RCA jacks in the rear of the radio, if so, yes.
yes it is possible..the only difference is if there are RCA's behind the radio or not. If there is, just run RCA cables from the head unit. If not, you will need to use the speaker level wires at your rear deck speakers. You can purchase an amp that has speaker level inputs OR purchase a line level converter. The converter in essence converts speaker level signal down to RCA level. It is all possible
if you have the jacks then yeah it will work if not you can do it without the jacks running to the rear speaker wires but your going to get barley any sound outta it.
