Im looking for the best bang for the buck without spending over 200 dollars. I dont need anything crazy.
Is this a good deal?
Thanks!!

pretty good deal, they are the cheaper version but that is a good price for what ur getting
i bought 2 12in audiobahn off of Ebay for $100
Keep your options open. Depending on the application, you might consider a bass tube. But if you're looking to "disturb the peace", you can even go with a single 12 Kicker with a Class D amp. The wiring for the amp new will cost you between 25-35 bucks. But you'll have new equipment without taking someone else's word for it.
Ebay isn't too bad for items like that.
I also recommend google search "discount subwoofer packages" and see what you can find.
memphis hit hard
you can get them elsewhere, ebay, for cheaper than that - try there to compare

would this amp work with the subs i am looking at?
[Question]
im looking between dual alpine type r 10 inch subs and type s. would this amp be able to power the type r's. also are type r's overkill or are the worth the extra money. i drive a subaru outback
http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/kenwoodx1200m.aspx
[All Answers]
i will get-er done
Type r's are overkill if you got 2 of them, why don't you go with the one type r or even the type s, and use the alpine to push all its power in to that one Sub, that would shake that outback like a beast. lol
Czech4Lyf's, you really have no clue to what your talking about. @ of the Type R's are not near overkill what so ever. If you think that 2 10" type R's is overkill then you need not to upgrade any more audio systems what so ever.
Go ahead and get the subs that your want and the amp that you want as well. Getting both of those subs is no where near over kill what so ever. You can get this stuff for less money on www.sonicelectronix.com
Check there for the prices on the gear that you want.
yeah one type r is better because its a dual voice coil so if you under power it your gonna fry one of the voice coils.
one type r will blow your trunk up.. trust me. they are rediculous subs and built for long lasting performance
and just get the 12inch type r since your gonna run one.
and i had 2 type r's... they were insane!!!!
go with 2 type Rs
the type S subs wont be able to handle the power from that amp
type Rs are also very well built and last allot longer
each type r is rated at 500 watts rms not 500 watts per voice coil so having 2 of the 2 ohm dual voice coil type Rs wired to 2 ohms will handle 1000 watts. that amp is rated at 1200 watts at 2 ohms so no the type Rs are definitely not an overkill. that amp will be perfect for 2 type Rs

where do I hook up my rcas for my amp?
[Question]
My head unit is one of them dvd/navi systems and on the back it has all kinds of rca hook ups. Since I couldn't figure out which to hook to in the begining I just bought an inline converter and installed that but now I want to find the right set of rcas, if I was to hook my amps rcas to the wrong rcas runing from the back of the cd player would it mess up anything?
or can I try plugging it into whichever ones and see what happens?
I did try it in the ones that said "audio output" and I hooked the red to red and the black from the amp to the white one (since there was no black)
Audio output r is the red and audio output L is the white one.
Thats my of which ones the right set. and when I hooked it in there my sub started punding like it should, since it's a w7`
Heres my options:
Audio output R (RED)
Audio output L(WHITE)
Video out (YELLOW
Audio in L (WHITE)
Audio in R (RED)
Video in (YELLOW)
PRE FROUT (RED)
PRE FLOUT (WHITE)
PRE RROUT (RED)
PRE RLOUT (WHITE)
Coaxial (ORANGE)
Subwoofer (WHITE)
It's a 13 w7 and jl audio 1000 1 amp
[All Answers]
yes
You won't hurt anything by playing with it. It's either audio, in which case it's putting out a signal appropriate for an amp, or it's video in which case you'll get squat.
Are you using just the JL W7 or multiple subs? What kind of amp is it?
You should have your audto outputs coming out of the back of your head. Since it's a DVD system it will also have inputs for your external navi system or if it has an internal navi system those RCA inputs will be for hooking up external monitors, gaming units and things like that.
If you're going with a single amp then hook one set to your output on your deck and the other side of your RCA's will go to to your preouts on your amp. If it's a 2 channel it will look like this :
|+| | - | |+| | - |
^__________^
With 1 sub connect your sub pos and neg wires like this. And your RCA's (red and white) will plug into your audio input on your amp.
If all else fails plugging RCA's into different ports wont hurt anything as all they do is carry sound. Make sure your amp is turned down so you dont blow your sub. (It's a W7, not likely) And go by trial and error.

What the best equipment to play my Ipod through my car stereo ?
[Question]
By that I mean, I have searched for several transmittors to play my IPOD through my car stereo, but I just don't want to buy one and find its rubbish quality sound, can anyone recommend anything ?
p.s. I have no connection points for an IPOD before anyone ask that
[All Answers]
I've had 3 transmitters, all of them were junk. Finally I bought one of those things that is cassette shaped, and pugs into the headphone jack. Works great. If you have a cassette player, I'd highly recommend one of these over a transmitter. Often they run about $20, but if you shop around, you can find them for $10.
I got one from ASDA, it was a bit crap to begin with but now it works perfectly. The cassette ones are better but they are no good if you don't have cassette in your car. The one I bought was about £10. Whichever one you buy I would recommend getting rechargeable batteries and a battery charger because they do use alot of energy.
Hope this helps xx
Yes all FM transmitters suck. You would be better off getting a new headunit with an aux in or ipod connection.
Get one of those transmitters from ebay - get one that plugs into your cigarette lighter so no worries about batteries
