how do i wire my car amp to get more power?
[Question]
12in sony explode and a 2 channel amp
[All Answers]
Hard Wire it to the battery.... if your wanting more power than that, get a different amp. i had to get a bigger amp cuz i wasn't getting the power i was wanting either.
Bigger gauge wire will allow more juice through to the amp.
Also consider buying a capacitor so that your amp will have the power it needs any time it needs it.
getting a cap and bigger gauge wire from the battery to the amp will help, just make sure ur ground wire is the same size
do not get a capacitor, it does not supply any power to anything

best box for two alpine 12" type R's?
[Question]
maybe somewhere i could put the amp also if not thats ok..
[All Answers]
just get a fiberglass box
What type of sound are you looking for from your subs?
I typically recommend around 2 cubic foot per sub and tuned to around 32Hz. That gives a good mix between loudness and sound quality.
The best enclosure is going to be custom made specifically for your subs. Either having one custom made by a local audio shop or making your own to the correct specs.
Good Luck!!!
if you want tight, accurate bass, get a sealed box = good for rock
if you want deep, louder bass thats less accurate, get a ported or bandpass box = good for rap

Do 2003 honda Civics have a direct AUX port anywhere in them?
[Question]
I have a 2003 Honda civic and am looking to find out if there is a direct AUX port for my Ipod...
I don't want to get a new deck, jus tmore reason for a-holes to break into my car and steal my deck. That's why I got hte Ipod...my other option I guess is an FM transmitter but the quality sucks :(
[All Answers]
Not unless you asked them to put it in as a special feature if you bought it new at the dealership.
back in 2003, frontal auxiliary ports were very uncommon if not non-existent i believe. you'll need to get yourself a head unit one of those. if you're on a budget, I'd suggest pioneer. great quality for the buck, and they've got lots of models with a frontal aux port - including some cheap, simple ones that are for regular radio users, not the audiophiles that require amps and subs.
most likely not. if you want to connect your ipod but dont want to get an aftermarket deck, then get this.

How good are Fli audio subwoofers?
[Question]
im looking into buying them as i need some good bass but for a cheap price, and these seem the best for their price. anyone know if these are good or too cheapy.
Thanks in advance
[All Answers]
get an 18" FI BTL and see for yourself!!!
From all my reading they are a very popular brand and are highly recommended.
If your looking for big bass with a low price tag you may consider looking in to getting a bandpass speaker/box setup.
If your looking for good sounding big bass you'll have to drop some serious cash for it.
but yes Fli is a good brand...
They are a good brand and are not "cheaply" built at all. If you are looking for some good subs then FI is a good place to buy from.
Good Luck!!!

Cd player connection in a car?
[Question]
I am trying to install a radio into a truck (96 Dodge ram 2500) and can't find anything to help me install it. I don't know which color wires goes to which speaker color wire in the car, etc.! If anyone knows pleaseee help me
[All Answers]
I believe you can buy a kit for your vehicle that helps you install the cd player. Check best buy or any electronics store.
If you don't mind spending a little extra, they sell wire kits for most cars now. Most of the auto parts chain stores sells them and also walmart. The wire kit comes with wire plugs that plug directly into the same plugs that plugged into your factory radio. The wire kits wires are color coded and its easy to wire that part to your new stereo. An added benefit is that when you sell you truck you can easily plug the original stereo back in. I think the wire kits cost about $15.
Each wire color, for the most part, will tell you what speaker is which. Easiest way, would be to get a wiring kit, then it is all plug and play. :) You can get them on Ebay, more than likely, right in your local hometown
