Hi Guys, my car radio has reset and is asking or a code after in changed a fuse in my fuse box on my Ford Ka?
[Question]
My Radio is a 6000 CD tuner RHD.
Serial No. M009472.
Can anyone help me??

Call Ford for code.
Your code is 1909
you should have a card with the code on - check your pack that has the service book etc in as it is normally there. If that fails pull the radio out you may find someone has wrote the code on it just in case they loose the card. If that fails contact the garage where you bought the car as they may have it on their computer. As a final resort book in to a ford garage (there will be a charge for this so ask how much first & get them to write code down in case it happens again)
This happened to me once also. I ended up calling the dealership where I bought my car and they gave me the numbers and the sequence needed to reset my radio. It was important that I had the car's manuel where I could give needed info. I also wrote the code down in case it happened again. I hope this helps.

Is it better to get 2 ohm subs or 4 ohm subs?
[Question]
I plan on getting two alpine type r 12" but i don't know if i should get the 2 ohm or the 4 ohm
[All Answers]
doesnt matter.. all depends on the type of amp your gonna be running them at, if you plan on getting an amp that does 1000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms you want the dual 2 ohm version with a 1000 rms @ 2 ohms amp it will put 500 rms to each sub
if you go the 4 ohm version, you want an amp that does 1000 rms @ 1 ohm.. or 4 ohms but 4 ohms will be much more expensive.
a good amp is the alpine pdx 1.1000, it does 1000rms at both 2 ohms AND 4 ohms.
With a pair of 2 ohm subs in parallel you'll have an impedance of 1 ohm. Very very few amps will drive a 1 ohm load.
You want the pair of 4 ohm subs, which paralleled will give you 2 ohms. Then you need an amp that can safely drive a 2 ohm load.

No. Connecting two, 2-ohm subs will result in a 1-ohm impedance, which if connected to a 2 ohm capable amp likely burn it out.
> if you go the 4 ohm version, you want an amp that does
> 1000 rms @ 1 ohm.. or 4 ohms but 4 ohms will be much

Do you not understand that paralleling a pair of n-ohm speakers gives you a net impedance of n/2 ohms?
> a good amp is the alpine pdx 1.1000, it does 1000rms at

Um... a good amp should deliver more power into a lower-impedance load. The spec you've given indicates that the amp is already current-limited into a 4 ohm load, and can safely drive a 2 ohm load only because of protection circuits. A proper amp that can deliver 1000 watts into 4 ohms should be able to deliver at least 1400 into 2 ohms.
depends on your amp, if u don't have one get alpine JL or rockford and get the dual 2ohm type R's and wire them like this
http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_2-ohm_mono.jpg
get an amp that puts out about 1500RMS at 2ohms, or use 2 separate amps, u can wire them for 1ohm if you want which will let ur amp produce more power.
4 subs

what else do i need for my audio sytem?
[Question]
i have a hifonics 1600 rms amp and 2 12 kicker L5 what amp kit do i need and do i need a capacitor?
[All Answers]
you need a amp wiring kit around 2gauge or less for that power you need a head unit to connect amps and i buy a pair of interior speakers so u get rid of scratchy sound
you need a bigger alternator
You need a wiring kit for installing the amp, if you are going to be driving the amp hard if it advisable to upgrade your altenator and also a capacitor. What head unit are use using and wwhat other speakers are in the car. Just adding a subwoofer with all that power will not sould good on the rest of the system, all you'll hear is bass. If it's factory speaker and head unit, it's a waste adding the subwoofer only.
