Pretty Brown Eyes you do not know what the question entails, then do not answer.
I would go with the FI BTL since they are going to give you a cleaner sound.
Both very good brands but you will spend cheaper going with the btl's than going with the rd spl but either way you will be happy with either subwoofer.
George is wrong, and I bet has never heard either.
BTL's are SPL subs. Peaky. Sound bad. Get loud.
RD SQ/SPL subs. Get loud. Sound good.
I have played with both (reg Alpha) and the RD is well worth it. Fi is a hype.

How do manually replace a subwoofer in my car?
[Question]
I think I might have blown my current 12" sub and I really don't want to have to take it somewhere. If I buy a new sub, how do I install it myself? Is it as simple as taking the other one out of the box and slipping the new one in?
[All Answers]
unplug wires unscrew the speakers pretty much it type how to install subwoofers into searchbox
Yes, It is easy.
Just take all the screws out from around the outside of the speaker, sometimes there is some silicone sealant there, which will act like glue carefully pry up the sub working around the entire perimeter slowly until it's free. Then slowly lift sub up just far enough to disconnect wiring. Remove old sub.
To install new sub, work this backwards.
Hi mate,
Well first of, it could depend on what type of enclosure you have, if its a custom fitting it will be hard to tell, but follow main instructions.
1.Locate subwoofer.
2. figure out how the subwoofer is mounted.
3. Remove anything keeping the sub in place.
4. Disconnect any leads/wires to the subwoofer.
5. Reconnect wires to the sub.
6. Turn the gains on the amplifier down.(keep note on how they were set up before messing about)
7. Play music, and tune..
Be sure to disconnect battery supply for safety issues.
And get a sub thats of similar wattage to your old one, or tell the salesman at the store what amplifier you have and then go for what best suits the amp.
Also for your own knowledge and research, try searchin forums on the net, youtube'how to's' and D.I.Y's(do it yourself's)
You will learn a great deal, tools you need and other adjustments you can make.
Have fun, let me know how everything goes.
Goodluck!
Good answers, but they forgot one crucial element- make sure the sub you buy is compatible with the box you have. You don't want a sub that requires a sealed box if you have a ported box. The box's volume should fall in the range the sub works best in.

Wires to install my subs and amp?
[Question]
I'm having my friend hook up my stystem this week but I want to know what wires i have to buy so I can have everything ready when he comes over. I'm having him hook up two rockford fosgate 15's and a sony xplod 1200 watt amp to my factory system, im not buying a new cd player. so what all will i need for him to install everything correctly? thanks.
[All Answers]
monster wire is good and the bigger the wire the better.
you need an RCA converter it plugs into the back of your factory deck. then you can hook up the amp to the factory deck.
Well firstly, your going to need to split the signal for the head unit to the amp, theres an adaptor for that.
next id rec. picking up a complete amp kit that contains
Speaker wire
Fuse, Fuse Box
Power cable to run from battery
most people go to best buy or tweeter to pick something like this up.
And if i may, i'd just like to say that Professional installation would def. be a plus. b/c ur friends don't guarantee work.
P.S i think the sony Xplod 1200 is a little weak for two RF 15" check the RMS requirements on both products and see if they are ccompatibly

do modern day ferrari's have electric windows and aircon and a personal radio/cd player system?
[Question]
i have heard they dont for weight reasons....
[All Answers]
i should think so for the money you pay for them
Most of 'em do, since they're usually bought by fat businessmen who can't actually drive them properly, but there are usually a few hardcore special editions like the Challenge Stradale models which have all their soundproofing, stereo, aircon, electric windows/seats/central locking and so on removed to make them lighter.
Want the best laugh?
Ferrari then charge more for the stripped-out car than the posh fully equipped one, and there's a queue round the block for them!
i know the early ones didnt even have int door handles, just a ''wire''...

Subs and Amps seeing how this would work?
[Question]
Okay so i have a CVT 07 12" kicker that pushes 800 watt max and 400 reg
and have a Pyrimid Amp that is 800 with one bridged and 400 with 2 outputs
Im new to all this so was just seeing if this would even work together
Thank you
yeah im not trying to win any awards for the best system just trying to have a decent sound system in my ranger now the only thing is the box gonna be a tuffy
[All Answers]
yes it will work but i would suggest getting a 1600 watt amp so when it runs at 400 watts it wont be distorted but yours will work don't turn it up to lud it will blow either the amp or the subwoofer
it will work but, you wont get all of the power u want. Bump it up to a higher wattage amp, at least 1600 watts and make sure it gets 800watts rms
It will work. The Pyrimid amp is that a subwoofer amp or a 2 channel amp. If it's not a subwoofer amp it will be driven hard, due to it's not design for that low frequency response. Get a name brand power amp like JL, MTX, JBL just to name a few for dependability and quality. There are so many amps out in the market and some will be out of business soon with this economy.
