Who would win in a race?
[Question]
2005 lancer es 2.0L V4 or a 2007 charger 3.5L V6
[All Answers]
CHARGER FTW!!!! but seriously its kinda obvious i mean 2.0L vs 3.5L and a v4 vs a v6.
1. why is this in the car audio section
2 obviously the carger
duh
you got a v6 against a little 4 cylinder
depends on the course.
The charger has a bigger engine, but weighs a lot more. The charger still has the better power-to-weight ratio, so it's faster in a straight line, and has a higher top speed.
but the lancer has a shorter wheel-base, and less weight to corner.
a course with long straights,a nd the charger wins hands down. a course with a lot of turns, and the lancer wins.
or are you talking endurance race? if you're racing NYC to L.A., the lancer probably gets significantly better gas mileage. I bet it has to stop less often, and wins that race too.
Well it really depends, Is the Lancer stock?? You can soup up Lancers really well. Assuming that both cars are stock then the Charger would def. win. If the Lancer was Souped up it could possibley beat the Charger. If both cars were souped up well then Charger would still probably take the win.
Charger hands down.
There's a reason cops use Chargers.
I agree with Chris R ^, Engine size is definately not everythin, you also have to keep in mind weight makes a big difference, timing, how the car is geared, transmissions make a difference. Front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, mods, what type of race is it. There are a lot of factors. And thinking your faster just because your engine is bigger is like saying your V6 probe is faster than a 2.0L I4 Evo, SRT-4, etc. and I know a lot of 4 cylinders that would blow away most V8's easily.
Is the lancer and evo or just base model?

which size speakers should i buy for my car?
[Question]
i have a 89 honda accord lxi and i would like to know the size for the front speakers and back. ive read i need 6.5" for the front and 6x9 for the back. i would just like to be sure
[All Answers]
Sounds right to me..if you can actaully see the shape of them a 6.5 is round like a circle and a 6x9 is more oval and a tiny bit bigger
Front is 6.5"
Back is 6"x9"
That's what I would do, those are more common speaker sizes.
look your car up on http://www.modifiedlife.com it is a very good info source on car audio you will find wire diagrams for your car and speaker sizing with upograde options good luck buddy
6.5 are the right speakes for the front. trust me i just replaced mine. and the 6x9 are also correct.
the size which fits the best
If you look on google and search your car speaker size you can quickly find the right car measurements for the speakers in your car.

I just baught a 1200 watt amp and i was wondering if i should get a power compasiter?
[Question]
I was just wondering because I have a fairly week battery and I dont know if I should buy one or not?
[All Answers]
capacitors take the load off your alternator, unless you have some super powerful alternator (if you haven't put an aftermarket one in, chances are you don't) it's a good idea to get one, it will do nothing but help and they are pretty cheap these days.
buying a new battery would be better than a capacitor.
Capacitor's are overrated.
the only good capacitors really are, is to act as a digital voltage meter. id upgrade the battery before i got a capacitor, cant tell ya too much info without knowing the brand or specs of the amp.
I would say if you have a weak battery it would be a good idea to get one only because it will tell you the battery life of ur battery. it would be a good i dea to just replace ur battery if you dont want to get a compasiter.
I would get a yellow top optima or kinetic battery. I have a kinetic hc 1400 battery and works great.
a capacitor takes very little load off of the electrical system.
a capacitor helps when you get a heavy spike in power or a THUMP!
The cap helps with that power spike.
the best thing you can do is to get a secondary battery, namely a yellow top optima, it's gel filled with a lead paste, so there's no actual lead cells to break due to the extreme vibrations, the lead paste just sloshes around, and they're designed to handle vibration and heavy current draw.
get a battery isolator so the amp won't affect the rest of the cars electrical system. The alternator will charge both batteries and not get stressed out by the excessvie current pull from the amp.

will this amp work???plz?
[Question]
will a Power Acoustik BAMF5500/1D push my two 15" alpine type Rs cause some say its good some say its crap?plz i need help. its suppose to push 5500 watts but i doubt it. i need to know an amp to push these hard?
[All Answers]
The amp will work but its not pushing 5500 watts. Power Akoustik is not crap in my opinion but not my 1st choice of amps. They not too reliable but if thats what you got then thats what you got. I heard many sytems with Power Akoustik amps that got loud. The subs you got are good subs.
yeah it do
I agree with Will. I would buy them if you need crude power output for the least amount of money.
They amps are CEA rated at 3200 watts "if memory serves me right"
So, it's a 3200 watt RMS amp. WAY more than enough power to run two type R's. AND considering that.... depending on input voltage levels, if you can run the amp at a lower gain setting....becasue it's a lot more power than what you need.... you should have higher effeciency ratings.... as well as, very little clipping and overall distortion levels would be lower than if you got a 1000 watt rockford amp and severly over drive it to get the power levels you are looking for.
yea, I said it....
you want the best out of those alpines power acoustic isnt the anwser trust me you will be under powering those subs get a kickerzx1500.1 mono block d class amp that will light those puppies up one thing to look for on amps is the fuse ratings i bet the kicker zx1500.1 has a bigger fuse than that power acustic. you cant give a a good sub a bad amp good and bad dont mix! acustic will just distort those alpines and blow them eventually kicker will give it continious powerrating.

Both are junk brands. I wouldn't run it for free. Give him like $20 for it and sell it to a pawn shop. Make a few dollars, and get something better.
