Can you put a modern cd player in a 1993 ford fiesta?
[Question]
My girlfriend just got a 1993 fiesta, it has the original audio system in it which consists of a single radio. Can you take this out and replace it with a new cd player? (Does it come out/ will it fit in/ will the wires match/ etc)
Many thanks.

You should be able to put any CD player in you want, If it's a powerful CD player the speakers which maybe basic if originals will not cope if you try to put the music on too load.
If you have 12 volts dc and at least one speaker, yes. You may need to splice into wires to figure out what is what, but everything should have a match.
Yes, the 1993 Fiesta has a standard DIN sized radio aperture, but it'll have non standard wiring.
Just buy any new CD player & then use a harness adapter like this;
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=1993+fiesta&_sacat=See-All-Categories
to avoid any cutting of wires.
I would highly recommend that you use crutchfield.com. They have a large database on vehicles. Just choose the 'outfit your vehicle' option and it should come up. If not their advisers are always happy to help.
Hope this helps out!

i have 2 subs, 1300 watt sony explodes with a 1500 watt crunch amp. i bought them for 600 bucks?
[Question]
i only used them once or twice. and i want to sell them. but i dont know how much to sell them for. these are super powerfull. they were in my chevy avalanche in the bed and they set off car alarms just by driving by them. helpplease.how much should i sell them for?
[All Answers]
im sorry but you got ripped off
you can get all that at walmart for around $200
If you bought them used i would try selling them for the same that you paid. If you bought them new they would still be really hard and not even broken in yet, but as soon as you buy something it loses its value. So i would try selling them a little less then you paid. And Patrick is an idiot, because you didnt get ripped off.
well i wouldnt pay over a hundred bucks for them, if u had a sob story maybe 120, wow........................600 bucks huh
ask for 400 but be willing to take 300, when you sell sound its generally half of what u paid is what youre going to get back- just dont go to a pawn shop- i know it depreciates fast

I would highly recommend that you check out crutchfield.com and choose the 'outfit your car' option. I looked into a stereo and it's the Alpine CDA-9886. It has a 6-channel preamp outputs so you can connect the factory amp and gives you the option to expand your stereo system. It cost 299.00 but since you have the Bose system you'll need an additional wiring harness for 39.99. It also has an USB input with full iPod controls it is in the rear but can easily be installed so the wire goes through the glove compartment making for a clean install. There are many options you can go with. Check the website out and see your options. They also provide the wiring harness and installation mount. If you don't like the option I gave you do a search and you should be able to find something you like with ease.
wow at that price u can get a lot of bang for your buck. YOu can go on onto cardiscountstereo.com or ebay and find something like a alpineor pioneer which will have what you are looking for you may be able to find a head unit with a tv/dvd/mp3/mp4. Nowadays almost all radios have preouts for amps and aux out for Ipod and zunes. I think that with the bose system you may have to purchase a bypass module if dont wanna change the factory speakers. If you just wanna stick to the basic mp3 player you can go to walmart and find a sony, jvc or pioneer for $75 bucks and up. it will do what you want it to do- Personally if i was spending that much i would get a tv\dvd/mp3/mp4 player with bluetooth technology and backup camera output
personally id say take the imprint upgrade to the cda-9887

[Question]
http://www.soundsavers.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=17_164&products_id=3281
any idea on what these speakers are like
worth it ?
[All Answers]
Wrong category unless you're sticking them in your car & running them off a generator.....
definetly but you can find some better speakers cheaper at
craigslist.com
you can find other stuff too.
yes, they are good enough, for DJ use, not HI Fi quality!
...there not bad...ive used them in the past.
i still use the amp in my ''shed of plenty''

what setup should i use for my system?
[Question]
I have 2 12's in my car and anther 2 that are going in but my lights dim and its hard to see at night and i want power to be constant and not here and there. Its about 1500 watts rms and 4500 watts peak with all of them in there plus 2 amps so what should i do to fix this problem?
[All Answers]
See an auto electrician.
you need at least a 1 farad capacitor. you are draining too much juice from the battery. THe power or juice as l call it, will be coming from the capacitor instead of directly from the battery the battery will charge the capacitor look on ebay they cost about 60 70 bucks
yes,get a capacitor or a inverter, they both work basically the same.dont waste your time, and drain your battery life.also after installing the inverter or capacitor get your battery checked,if the acid is less or more, just in case your subs drained it a little.
