[Question]
i have a 1992 acura integra and i want to buy new affordable speakers between 100$ and 150$ that have amazing bass on them, can you help me im new to cars so i need some ideas of good speakers other than bose

get a set of alpines type s
bad news for u........replacing factory speakers.......for example 6"x9"s, etc..........will probably not give u amazing bass.........i have all polk audio highs in my car.......(hence the word highs)........if u want that amazing bass, id recommend incorporating a subwoofer and amplifier.
I would introduce a sub to your hook up! There are nice "6by9" speakers, but i dont think thats what your going for.. Look into JL audio
I have some polk 6.5" speakers (db651) in the front of my car, along with a pair of polk 6x9" speakers(db691) in the rear deck. I have a subwoofer system, so I'm not sure how well they can perform in the bass area. They do sound much much better than the stock speakers, and the 6x9's can give you a lot more bass than the stock ones, and it'll sound much better too.
If you want a little bass and good mids and highs, go with new speakers.
If you want a lot of bass, get a sub and an amp.
If you want a great sound system, get both.
ye as pat said alpine but are you talking $150 in total for front and back or do you just wont 1 set for the back or something
ye so alpine but id spend that little bit more and get R type speakers there so much better

1ohm duel subwoofer question.?
[Question]
I have two 12inch solobaric l7 subwoofers with duel 4ohm voice coils now I know that I can wire the voice coils parallel to eachother to make each speaker 2ohms and wiring both speakers parallel to eachother to make them only 1ohm. Now I want to run a 3200 watt monoblock hifonics Brutus amp, it's 1ohm stable at 1600 watts rms. Will this setup work?
[All Answers]
itll work perfectly, itll be puttin out 800x2 should sound great........with the amp having to get down to 1 ohm it will likely be a huge draw on ur alternator and battery but with that aside.......it should be a great set up.....
yes. the math works out.
Yes it will, but personaly i think the anp is a little over kill...I have seen the L7 beat so hard...I have also seen this one dude have his mag. shift and freeze the cone? I like them though should bump pretty good!
it will work but hifonics amps arent the greatest quality and running it at 1 ohm will deffinatly shorten its life durastically

What do i need to support a 4000 watt system?
[Question]
im going to be running 2 12" kicker L7s with 2 1800 watt kenwood amps..what do i need for an alt..battery..exct...help!
[All Answers]
A freaking generator probably
sounds like a nice system.. just letting you know.. they aren't as good as you think. just a fyi
but ok alt. Ohio alternators. reallllllllly good and durable, KINETIC BATTERY up front and a 1000 in back. you'll be fine no matter what then with those 3 things you'll be set. just leting you know.. you might need to spend a nice buck on these things. A guy i know around here has a 4g amp and 4 L7's, he has stock alt. and battery. he's doin okay.. lights dim to near of but they come right back on.
um.. Optima batter will be good as well... i got a optima up front, kinetic in back. I'm runnin 2000 watts overall with more than enough juice. I'm abuot to get 3500 watts overall (upgrading 1500 watt amp to 3000 watt amp) and i will be sitill fine. But hope that helps, i don't know all the comp. for altenators. just type in car audio alternators into google and see what comes up.
amn kickers are good you just need the right stuff up grade your alternator use a hc kinetic 1800 for the back and a 1400 n the front, and make sure you do the big three upgrade too all 1/0 ga alternator pos to batt pos engine ground neg to chassis neg and then chassis neg to battery neg and trust me you will be surprise i got to cvx15 2000 rms/4000 watts peak and my lights dont dim at all and i did the big three and got a ho alternator with 2 kinetic batteries hc2000 and a hc1800

anybody know if i need a wiring harness to switch out a stock radio in a 2004 tahoe?
[Question]
i'm installing a cd player i purchased in my 2004 tahoe. Not sure if there is an existing wiring harness or not. Any help is appreciated...
[All Answers]
If you are replacing the stock with an aftermarket cd player then the best way is to buy a harness. Otherwise you will have to cut the wires and solder each one. You run the risk of running out of wire that way. You can buy a wire harness, usually at walmart or an auto parts store, for your vehicle. That will plug into your aftermarket harness.
For an aftermarket radio you will need a harness also you might need a dash kit and antena adapter. You can get at any car stereo shop
To install a stereo in your car you will need a GM LAN adapter. This will retain the factory door chimes and send an "all healthy" signal to the vehicle computer. It will also give you a switched 12 volt accessory wire. The newer GM vehicles don;t have one. They turn on with the LAN signal.
It's kind of pricey. But, it is necessary. Without it, you risk doing damage to the vehicle's charging system. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about people killing alternators, starters, and batteries. Because, they didn't use the right integration harnesses.
You would need Scosche part number GM09SR.

This is about the cheapest that I can find it for you.
