how much should i sell this for?
[Question]
amp- alpine pdx1.600 bought last year
subs- 2 800w pioneer 12" and 2 mega sound 10"
4 single boxes are also included for each sub
8 guage wiring kit
how much do you think its worth, theres nothing wrong with any of it
[All Answers]
150.00
$150 sounds about right.
I would try for 200 and see if anyone shows interest.
150 dollars sounds like it's the most resonable price
I would say if you found a buyer willing to pay you $300 you would be doing good. That's what i would start at.
These guys arent really that smart you should be able to get $150 for the amp alone... its a superhigh quality amp that even found on the internet really goes for around $350-$400
I would advise trying for around $300
I wouldn't pay more than $250-$300
i would value it at 300 and would sell for 200-250

Does using an aftermarket car stereo and speakers affect your fuel consumption if so by roughly how much?
[Question]
[All Answers]
Not enough to measure or care about and only if it uses more power than the old one.
sod all,
not worth worrying about
If you have amplifiers, the alternator will be working harder, maybe 2% loss at the most
You'll lose about 8 mpg
If you are only talking about the deck up front and replacing the speakers, then no. Most aftermarket radios only pull a few more amps than factory radios. The are just more efficient than stock components. You will not see any change in fuel economy whatsoever.
and why would it use more fuel??.....
it wont put anymore strain on the alternator,,,,so it wont use any more fuel...that is unless your using 75kg speakers ....

Is it ok to change the stock speakers of my car with aftermarket speakers?..without changing the amp..?
[Question]
[All Answers]
depends on the speakers...some need lots of power some are made for stock radio power...try Crutchfields.com i buy all my stuff there
If you change them they will sound better than the factory ones. If you would use an amp they would just get more power so they could go louder and sound clearer at higher volumes. So basically you don't need an amp unless you want it be louder. If you just change the speakers you will have a cleaner crisper sound with more bass. Good luck
Yes it is always better to change the stock speakers with aftermarket to get better sound quality.....Only add an amp if u want it to be louder...Your radio/cd player is only gonna put out about 20 watts into you speakers...so if your replace the speakers with 200 watt speakers the radio will only push 20 watts of that 200....thats where adding an amp will push the power of the speakers.....
yeah i change all the speakers in every car ive ever had and i only had a problem once...i put 6x9's in the rear deck and the radio wasn't powerful enough and the radio would cut off

Best Buy Installation of DVD player?
[Question]
HI! I am wondering if any of you know how much it is to install an overhead DVD player...if I buy it at Best Buy...
[All Answers]
Something like 50 dollars, but you may have to go back to them several times to fix something, because they are notorious for not installing right. Happened to me at two different best buy stores. I would recommend learning how to do it yourself and saving some money, I install of of my own gear and for things I don't want to install like car alarms, I go to local audio shops.
Brian W is correct
Its cheap but their installation techniques are even cheaper they are known for bad installs and broken components
Dont go to best buy....go to a stereo shop...kool name...they called me BamaBoy in college in Mississippi
i agree with the 1st guy they never do it right...9 out of 10x's the people are learning as they go but won't say anything because they don't want to get in trouble. a guy took his bmw there and when he turns his headlights on the wipers come on but the lights don't. oh and to turn the alarm off you have to disconnect the battery.

Car stereo problem any ideas?
[Question]
I put in a car stereo, when the car is just on accessory the stereo works fine, but when the car starts up, and I start driving the stereo speakers start cutting out, any suggestions?
[All Answers]
it may be your radio i had a jvc that did that, i think after 15 min of driving it would over heat and cut off so it wouldn't hurt check that
Check your connection and ground to your stereo
Identify the car. Modern stereo's go into "protect" if there is a bad speaker, or it could be a defective installer
