Ported box or bigger sealed box?
[Question]
I have 2 Fosgate P3s 4 ohm and a fosgate power t1500-bd mono amp. My subs are wired at 1 ohm. I have a box that was built with 1 cu. ft. of air volume per sub. This was recommended by fosgate. The subs hit very hard (lots of excursion) but I am not gettting anywhere near the bass i expeceted. Should i build a sealed box with more air volume? or build a ported box. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks

A bigger sealed enclosure will not give you more bass, it will probably even sound quieter if you put them in a larger enclosure.
What I would do first is check to make sure everything is wired correctly and that your subs are in phase. If you switched a negative and positive terminal on your amp for one of the subs your subs could be cancelling each other out. This is why your subs would look like they are pounding hard but really aren't.
If that doesn't help then a ported enclosure built to specs would be your best option for getting more output.
Good Luck!!!

should a capacitor have power all the time? like directly hooked to my battery?
[Question]
will doing this run my battery dead?
[All Answers]
thats how you wire them yes, however im not sure, i just bought a Kinetik Car Audio battery, those are equal too 100 capacitors, and pretty cheap too,
but no it wont run your battery dead, its basically like a battery
A capacitor connected directly to the battery will continue to draw a charge, depending on the voltage, and duration of downtime for your car, it could run the battery dead. (just ask the first round of Corvette C6 owners)Put that cap on to a switched source so that it won't draw on the battery when the car isn't running.
Yes the cap is directly hooked to your battery. This will not run ur battery dead. A capacitor stores energy so when ur subs hit and draw power they pull it from the stored power in the cap and not directly from your battery. This ensures that ur getting the full amount of power needed for every bass hit and that ur not sucking the life out of ur battery.

Is there a way to bypass the security code on a renault car radio?
[Question]
I had an electrical fault on my megane scenic that meant i had to dis-connect the battery. When i re-connected it, the radio was off and i don't have the code for it.
[All Answers]
go to renault with proof of ownership and ask for the code. before you do that, check inside the cover of your service history booklet. it might be on a printed sticker there.
