How to check if a cd player for a car works without hooking it up to my car?
[Question]
i just got a used cd player for my car and i needed to know if it works or not before i go through all the trouble hooking it up. Please help if you know. Thank you
[All Answers]
theres not any trouble in hooking it up
you connect wires together..
thats all you have to do..
pop your hood. connect the (acc) power and the other power wire (memory) twist together put on positive battery terminal and but the ground wire (generally black) on the negative terminal. should pop right on. but you have no sound (obvious)

is my speaker blown because it makes a flapping noise when i play my music. ?
[Question]
[All Answers]
yeah
It might be because you're putting too much power into it, which pushes the voice coil out and that could make the flapping sound. The flapping sound could also be distortion caused by too much power. To check the speaker itself, press lightly down on the middle of the speaker. If you hear and feel a scraping sound, the driver is blown.

Can a small capacitor contain more volts than a bigger capacitor?
[Question]
I saw in a circuit board of a TV some little capacitors that said 50v while other bigger capacitors said 6.3v I'm confused I thought the bigger the capacitor the more volts.
[All Answers]
Capacitance of a capacitor is largely determined by the total surface area of the plates and the distance between the plates. That means bigger capacitor bigger capacitance in most cases. The voltage written on the capacitor tells you how much voltage a capacitor can withstand before its dialectic fails.
So the capacitance determines the size not the voltage.
