1993 Cadillac Fleetwood audio question?
[Question]
I have a 93 Fleetwood Brougham that has FM/Cassette radio. The cassette portion is broken. I have an Ipod touch and I'd like to play the Ipod's music in the car.
Since the tape deck portion is in-op, I can't go that route. I have purchased two "high quality" FM modulators that produce too much static. I'm not interested in changing to an aftermarket stereo.
Does anyone know if there is a way to directly connect my Ipod to my existing car's stereo for under $100?
[All Answers]
Have a look at one of these,it plugs into your cars antenna so it's not wireless and no interference.

Replacing the aftermarket cd player in my 2005 chevy cobalt?
[Question]
I took out the stock cd player in my cobalt and i want to put it back in the car. i know my parents montana had a safety feature that involved a code to put the cd player back into the car. am i going to run into the same problem?? and if so does anyone know the code?
[All Answers]
If the radio is security protected with a code, it is going to be different for each radio. The only way to get the code is from a Chevy dealer who can look it up for you. You will need to prove that you are the owner of the vehicle and they may charge you for it unless you are a regular customer.
I don't think that the Cobalt will have that feature, but if it does just go to the dealer and get the code. It is really easy.
It shouldn't be a problem. The newest generation of GM radios is connected to the vehicle's computer system. They can identify the vehicle they're in, and as long as you're putting the original radio back into the original vehicle, it should work right away without a code.

What is a good amp to hook for Ok i have 4-solobarics L5 15 dual 4 ohm and im not sure what amp to hook up to ?
[Question]
Ok i have 4-solobarics L5 15 dual 4 ohm and im not sure what amp to hook up to it i also dont know what gage wire i dont want to push the speakers all the way like 3/4
[All Answers]
Just go with a decent name brand mosfet power amp. It really doesn't matter though. Stay away from Sony, go with Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Kenwood, MTX, or something like that. 15's take a lot of power, so be sure to get 400+ watts.
SteveO doesnt know shit obv, 400 watts to power those basically 2000 watt subs, WOW.
I have 2 15" L7's powered by a 1600w Hifonics Amp,
your gonna need at least 2 amps, id say about 4000w a piece would do, get a brand like Kicker, Hifonics, MA Audio, Rock. Fosgate
those are all good
your gonna want more power than the subs can handle, otherwise powering them with a small amp will damage them and basically ruin them in a year or so
The amp im gonna have to say for this is a jbl amp. it will give each sub 700 of its 750 rms. thats DAM close. its a great amp and prlly wont ever give you trouble! with those subs in series it will be a 2 ohm load. and this amp puts out 2400 at 2 ohms
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_16163_JBL+GTO24001.html
goodluck
if you dont want to push them all the way don't bother hooking them up
thats like saying
I'll get the new camaro ss put will only drive it to third gear
