I want to get an Image Dynamics cause my dad had a set and they were awesome just wondering if they are any better because image dynamics are like $800 for one 10 in sub

IMage dynamics are awesome!! they are the same as Arc Audio. Same design. sounds like you want some sq subs. try looking at Focal. there is many brands out there.
I wouldnt say better than a another sub bc you need to look at a good sub and amp combo. you can get a bad ass sub and get a cheap as amp and it wont sound bad ass but it would be okay.

2 12" type r 4ohm DVC and a cadence iA7 amp is a good combo.

How many volts should I push my amp to my subwoofers?

I have two 12'' subwoofers, 4 ohm, and 400 watts RMS. I have them wired in parallel making it 800 watts RMS at 2 ohms. My amp is a hifonics Bxi1606d amp, 1100 watts RMS x 1 @ 2ohms. I know how to set the gain, but just how many volts should i be pushing?

To figure out the target output voltage, use this equation.
Voltage = sq. root ( watts X ohms)
In you case, it would go like this. 800w X 2 ohms= 1600 And the square root of 1600 is 40. 40 volts would be the target output.

Is it possible to change ohms on speakers I have a pair of vintage speakers that are 13 and 14.5 ohms I want to change them into 4 or at least 8 ohms because I am putting them in my car on an amp and I do not want them to blow
