Question
My car DVD player stop playing movies when I am driving.
good
Isn't that dangerous?
Its no different then talking on the phone while driving.
Causing accidents, you should be driving not watching bloody movies! good thats its forbidden, idiot!
it obviously has much more sense than you do.
Maybe that is a good thing? I'm just sayin'......
It is against the law to watch movies/videos while driving.
It is because it probably did a update.
LMAO, the car is tired of you swerving back and forth watching Disney Princess movies.
Listless ....good answer hahahahhahahahahhah
You're a cat. Cats can't drive! What are you thinking!!!!
i really hope im not on the road with you while your driving 80 while chuckling to yourself watching madagascar.
go to an electronic guy there is something that they can do to unblock the dvd problem
HOORAY TO THAT LAW IT'S FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT THE4 LAW WAS BROUGHT OUT! WHY WOULD YOU WANNA WATCH A DVD WHILST DRIVING!
Most DVD players in cars (for front seat viewers) have fail safes so you can only play while in Park, it is so you can't watch TV while Driving, because that would be dangerous
is it an anfter market dvd player? i had one installed into my dash where my cd player was and it always stated that but there was an option to go around it. i had a friend that had to have a switch installed to override it
Thank the law. It's there to make sure you don't kill yourself by hitting a median while you're too distracted watching Girls Gone Wild to notice that you're getting passed by an 18 wheeler.
If you're really hellbent on not watching the road, please, buy yourself a PSP and lie down in the middle of the train tracks while you watch your movie. At least you won't kill someone else.
Most driving accident are caused by cellphone calls and other electrical equipments like a dvd player, a driver who is also watching a dvd in a car while driving can cause confusion that results to a sudden crash, I always have a problem with people who watch a television show in their car or talking to a cell phone who often crashes to mine but never admit that they are talking to a cellphone and they dodon'tdmit it, it is a scam in my country that seldom works but not to me, I always ask for their insurance account for the damage they done, and if you are in my country the Philippines the law is much striker for the person who cause the collision
since i value my safty, if there was a way to get around it, i wont tell you

Would a 120 watt speaker and 120 watt amp be loud enough?
[Question]
for a car and just to add enough bass to feel it
[All Answers]
For a car? no prolly not.
specify, are you talking subs, if so you have a car or truck? In a pickup truck yes, in a car with a big trunk maybe as long as its a sealed enclosure, but if the main speakers are 50watts a side i would up it to a minimum of 300 watts
There is no way to give an intelligent answer to the question the way it is asked.
The first thing that we would need to address is your definition of the phrase "loud enough". Are you trying to add a little bass to the stock system that is otherwise nonexistent or do you want to knock squirrels out of trees?
Or are we not talking about sub woofers? Are you planning on replacing the full range speakers?
The other issue is that wattage does not equate to volume. Wattage is simply a measure of work, like horsepower. It does not define how loud a system is or in the case of horsepower how fast a car will go.
To try and answer your question I will need more info....Let me know what you are trying to do and I will be glad to help.

No, if you want loud sound and strong bass, buy kenwood or pioneer.

What Audio should i put in my car?
[Question]
I am currently driving a little 1992 tercel. I would like to put in a system that a. is not going to kill my budget ($500 tops im a starving student lol) b. is going to give me good quality sound for the price.
I just dont know a whole lot about car audio so any help would really be appreciated!!! bass in important but we just got a new by-law in where we can be ticketed now for being to loud (up to the cops discretion) so nothing to insanely powerful.
let me know what your fav brand is too!
thanks!

I would shop around for Alpine speakers. Type S speakers are very nice. The Type S 6x9's put out a nice amount of bass. But if your looking for more bass you could check out getting an Alpine Type S or Type R subwoofer. (you would need an amp of course). I would check out http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ for your car audio needs. They have the best deals around.
well for cheap, sony explod wouldnt be bad. not the best stuff...
i personally like JL audio.. have 2 w3's and they hit pretty hard....
Kenwood, fusion and pioneer are very good for audio.

Will my sub and amp work in my 09 corolla?
[Question]
Basically, I bought an 09 corolla, and the stock stereo sucks. Obviously. The rear speakers are 20 watts each, my old car with stock was 35watts. I placed 250 watt alpines in the front and back of my accord, with an alpine deck (CDA something), then a Kenwood 1000w max with a 1000watt max Alpine Sub woofer. (R series, dual voice coil set at 2 ohms)
My other car was a Honda Accord 91 EX. With the stock alternator, upgraded battery with stock cables, it ran my system flawlessly. Unless I had my AC and lights on of course. With all that, the lights and everything would dim. I had a volt meter that I could watch move as the bass hit. With just the amp playing, it ran fine, only moving the meter a little.
I sold that car, and took out the amp, sub, and wiring. (they gave me crap for my car so I took all the good stuff).
If I put all new speakers, new deck, and put my sub/amp in the corolla, would that be wise? I noticed the battery cables are pretty pathetic. And the Battery is really pathetic. Its only 324 CCA. (My Honda was like 700 something, and I was going to go higher but I sold it)
Or, should I get a weaker sub/amp, thats say, 250-350 watts max, with 250watt speakers to an amp? (4 normal speakers, 2 tweeters)
Amp/sub - 250-350
Speakers - 4x 250w without amp
Alpine CDA 9887 deck.
No Sub
4x 350w speakers with amp
CDA 9887
Kenwood/Alpine amp/sub 1000w
4x 350w speakers and amp
CDA 9887
Im just not sure with this new car. Kinda scary with all the crap electronics randomly placed in it. Lights on all the time, security, etc. I do like alot of bass, but the problem also is the trunk is filled with stuff for my job. So I could move stuff around to fit what I have, get one like my sister that takes up almost no space, or just forgo the sub all together and just put nice speakers with an amp.
Anyone able to help me on this? I have to do something to the stereo system, because I drive alot of miles. But what is the scary part. What would you do? And what is safe to do?
Well, if I put just speakers in, I would like ones that have good bass. (Obviously not like my sub) But something that sounds better then 20w garbage paper speakers.

It will work with a battery upgrade, other thing is maybe instead of a battery upgrade you could either get a bigger altenator and a second battery or keep all the settings low and see how it performs with no upgrades, Caps really don't do much so forget those, but a better alternitive (and cheaper) would be a 5 channel amp that will draw less amps because its all powered from 1 unit
you should be fine with what you have
Pioneer have loud speakers that don't waste electricity.

whats wrong with my subs...?
[Question]
i just bought 2 mtx 12's from someone and got them hooked up. they worked fine. and when i left i got about 3 miles down the road and they stopped working. and when i got home i started messing with the wires and now neither my cd player or my subs work. anybody know what could be wrong? thanks.
[All Answers]
it could be the amplifier or the wiring is not good
Your installation could be wrong... You might want to get someone to look at it and possibly reinstall them for you.. It doesn't sound like a car problem.. Alot of times the hook up causes problems like this.. It could also be the fuse... Or the worst ( it may have burned up due to wrong hook ups) just get it checked out
Sounds like you shorted something when you were messing with the wires. Start by checking any and all fuses to make sure you didn't blow something. Then verify the wiring and try again.
