i've done the test twice now and its really doing my head in. my instructor says i don't really need any more lessons and that my driving is fine, but i worry so much that i mess up stupid things. how do i overcome it?

Phone your doctor and ask if they can prescribe beta blockers, worked for me 4th time. All they do is calm your nerves.

i had 2 take my test 3 times too...luckily i passed the 3rd time however i actually do think it was BY FAR my worst test, i did so much wrong and was shocked when i passed.



i bet the 2 times uve failed its been over silly things that werent your fault or else werent serious enough to fail u for?



my bfs going through the same thing atm...his instructor told him that cameras need 2b installed in their cars now, but they need 2b turned off 4 tests...says it all really.



its a money-making scheme and its horrible. just remember its not ur driving thats bad coz im sure ur a gd driver :)



and its true that ul appreciate it more when u pass, i was almost in tears when i passed i was that relieved! ur nerves will most likely not be so bad the next time u do it coz u know what 2 expect!

just remember that you are good enough to pass! instructors won't put you in for a test unless they think you can/will pass as they want to keep their pass rate high! Is hard but just try and remember this!

if you have sat it twice i would suggest you get another driving instructor! i passed my test 3rd time around but only because i gave up on my instructor after the 2nd fail. when i got another instructor i found out i had been taught very little and i was doing alot wrong! you should try find out what your instructors pass rate is because if it's not good then your wasting alot of money and time!

OK, you've been through the testing process twice now so you know what to expect. It's ok to tell the examiner that you are nervous, (believe it or not, they are human too.) .

One technique to use is 'commentary driving'. Describe everything that you are doing and why you are doing it out loud. This will keep your mind on the driving task and slow down the thought process so that you will not be anxious.

For example, if you are making a right turn; It might sound like this;

"I am approaching the intersection, I check my mirrors and turn on my right turn signal, I check oncoming traffic for any vehicle that may be turning left here, check my mirrors. As I approach the intersection, I check the status of the traffic lights, and start looking for cross traffic. I am slowing to the speed that I wish to make the turn in and check my mirrors. I check that I still have a green light, and continue into my turn if the way is clear. As I make the turn I am watching for any cross or oncoming traffic and check my mirrors. I move slowly through the turn keeping both hands on the wheel and accelerate to match the flow of traffic in the lane that I am entering and check my mirrors. I make sure that my signal is off and that I am properly spaced in the traffic flow."

Practice it one or two times, it can really center yourself while driving.

I've used it when teaching and testing folks to drive commercial vehicles.

Nothing you can do really. Just got to get on with it and try to relax. If you are nervous then you are nervous. Any drugs yo might take will be detrimental and so they will not help.

A Doctor will tell you to just get on with it and offer no treatment as it is not a medical problem.

Maybe once you have a few more failed tests under your belt you will be so used to it you will not be even a little nervous.

If you mean your power wire, you first need to disconnect the negative terminal, then connect it to your positive battery terminal, running it from your firewall , to your amp.

Discconnet the negative side of your car battery> put your power wire onto the positive side (make sure u fuse it at the end of everything with the approriate size of fuse)> run that wire to the pos on your amp> then ground your amp to the frame of your car, find a bolt somewhere on there that is bare metal> hook your remote wire (blue) to your car cd player and then to the amp. it should all be done now, just hook up your subs.

split the positive and negative that is going into your deck. By doing that, you wont have to turn it on and off separately, it would turn off automatically as your deck does. But watch out, if you have a highly powerful amp, it might demand too much and blow a fuse. This is how my amp is wired, and I have yet to blow a fuse.

It's when a stereo amplifier is switched to mono, effectively doubling the output power. Bridged amps are usually used with subwoofers. Not all amps can be bridged.

look where you connect the speakers on your amp,there should be a diagram(L+ L-)and (R+ R-),there should also be a diagram below that sais [mono (L+ R-)and in some amp there is also a switch that sais( =stereo --mono),some amps need a module to run in mono,old school amps need to be bridged internally.



Most new amps are just (L+ R-)



And ,yes some amps are not bridgable.

is it possible to somehow get sponsored by a subwoofer brand? and if so... how? i just asked a question about my new.. but very old bradley gt2 and was thinking of making it a show car over a few years since it is somewhat rare.. and will make my own fiberglass sub box and most likely get two 10 in. JL audio subs.. how would it get sopnsored if possible?

You need build system and carry it to car show and make friends but when you get sponsorship you don't get free stuff you still have to pay for their product but at discount.
