Question about a Pioneer Sub?

Question 1
Question about a Pioneer Sub?...  If i have two 6X9 and two 5X8 pioneers in a single cab ford ranger, will a 10" Pioneer Pro Champion series Sub cover these up? I dont want to hear nothing but bass, i just want to bring out the bass.

1)   depends cause i have a extened cab ford ranger and my 4 5x8's actually hit hard... but if u dont want to hear just bass then buy like a 250-400 watt mono block amp... should work pretty good... ima install 2 12"s wit a 1200 watt amp and putting 405watts per sub... shit will bump hard cause truck doesnt have much dampening effect... trust me... - cowboyninja69

Question 2
Getting Car Bass To Sound Louder?...  Well I have 2 JL W7s with a ported box a 2000 rms mono amp and 2 layers of dynamat in my truck. believe me the bass hits hard except i want the bass to be felt outside as well. all the bass is inside the car and even with the dynamat you hear rattling. not the point though i really want to hear the bass from outside, even with my chair dropped and windows down it is not how i want it to be and i know that this set up is capable... any suggestions?

2)   Put your trunk on a switch, so people will hear EHH EHH and then all of a sudden, two w7's, didnt see no wires, then I heard BOOOOOM!!! from the amplifiers!!

Question 3
Car 2-Way Speakers (6.5 Inches), Kenwood vs Pioneer vs Sony?...  I'm changing my stock Speakers in my Civic EX 2004. For this, I will be buying 2 pairs of 6.5 inches.



The new Head Unit is going to be a Pioneer. I'm not sure I can decide between Kenwood, Sony or Pioneer for the woofers. Any advice, and why I should choose one over the other?



What I'm looking for primarily is Sound Quality. Not Bass or how loud they are.

1)   forget those and go and buy 2 12" alpine type r 1222-D subs for $251 on amazon and buy an audioque aq1200D mono amp for like $145 but i forgot where the amp was at lol but shit will bump!!! ima install same package in my truck and it will freakin destroy my friend who has 2 10" db drives and 1 12" jvc with a 2500 watt amp... alpine is a killer my friend and will satisfy ur needs!!! - cowboyninja69

2)   basically just choose some subwoofers that you like the most. thats where I would start.



then you need to find an amp that will match up well with your woofers.



In order to match your subs with an amp you need to know 3 things. the RMS rating of the woofers, the # of voice coils, and the impedance of each coil.



so for instance say you're looking at a couple of dual voice coil 4 ohm subwoofers that can handle 300 watts a piece. then you would want a mono amp that can pump out 600 watts of power at 1 ohm, or a 2 channel amp that pumps out 300 watts x2 @ 2 ohms.

another thing to check out when comparing woofers to each other is their sensitivity rating (the higher it is the louder the sub is) the frequency range (what frequencies the woofer can handle) and resonant frequency (the frequency that the sub resonates at which would be the one it plays the loudest), and how much power they can handle.



you may also want to look into what kind/size enclosures would work best for those the woofers you choose to make sure that it will work in your vehicle - RJ
