Audio Amplifier Berbasis Op-Amp

Rangkaian Audio Power Amplifier Berbasis Op-Amp

The amplifier is based on the commonly used class-AB complementary power amplifier with compound pair output transistors. The system uses a TL074 quad opamp to drive the output transistors. As can be seen from figure 1, A2 is used to set the voltage gain of the amplifier. Assuming the voltage gain of a common collector stage to be unity, the overall voltage gain of the amplifier is equal to (R4 / R3) + 1, i.e. the gain of a non-inverting OP-AMP (16 or 24dB, in this case). Since the output transistors are within the feedback loop of A2, A2 also acts to linearise the input characteristic of the complementary pair Q1/Q2 & Q3/Q4. This allows for greater mismatch between the NPN-PNP transistors.

The biasing to Q1 & Q3 is provided by R6, R7 & diodes D1 & D2. This arrangement biases the transistors just above cut-off and reduces crossover distortion. R6 must be adjusted to the highest value which eliminates crossover distortion. Ideally D1 & D2 should be mounted so they are in contact with the driver transistors - not the main heatsink.

To adjust R6 without an oscilloscope, start with R6 set to maximum, set the volume control R2 to get the minimum audible output with a suitable input source (such as a CD player which gives 0.65Vrms at line out), and listen for any "crackle" in the sound, especially that which seems to be riding on low frequency sounds. If a "crackle" is heard then reduce the value of R6 in very small steps, until the crackle (crossover distortion) becomes inaudible (it can't be eliminated, I feel).

As the output of opamp A2 is being pulled up by the biasing circuit, capacitor C5 must be connected between the output of A2 and ground to prevent the circuit from breaking into oscillations. The value of C5 is not critical, any value between 22nF to 100nF will do. The opamp A1 is a simple buffer which isolates the input circuit from the power stage. C1 & R1 are used to set the lower 3db frequency to around 15Hz, and to obtain an input impedance of about 100K. The upper 3db frequency is determined by R4 & C7, which in this case is approximately 30KHz. The schematic shows only one channel of the stereo amplifier. The amplifier can be used to drive speakers with impedance ranging from 3 Ohms to 8 Ohms, higher impedance speakers could be used but the power output will be substantially less.

The voltage gain of the amplifier can be increased by increasing R4 or decreasing R3, as long as the output swing is kept less than or equal to 3 Volts below the supply rails. This is due to the fact that the maximum output voltage of an opamp is always 2-3 Volts less than the supply rails, before it clips.

500 Watt Audio Amplifier On-Semi Transistor

500 Watt Audio Amplifier On-Semi Transistor

There are some important updates to this project, as shown below. Recent testing has shown that with the new ON Semi transistors it is possible to obtain a lot more power than previously. The original design was very conservative, and was initially intended to use 2SA1492 and 2SC3856 transistors (rated at 130W) - with 200W (or 230W) devices, some of the original comments and warnings have been amended to suit.

WARNINGS:
  • This amplifier is not trivial, despite its small size and apparent simplicity. The total DC is over 110V (or as much as 140V DC!), and can kill you.
  • The power dissipated is such that great care is needed with transistor mounting.
  • The single board P68 is capable of full power duty into 4 Ohm loads, but only at the lower supply voltage.
  • For operation at the higher supply voltage, you must use the dual board version.
  • There is NO SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION. The amp is designed to be used within a subwoofer or other speaker enclosure, so this has not been included. A short on the output will destroy the amplifier.

500 Watt Audio Amplifier On-Semi TransistorSkema Rangkaian 500 Watt Audio Amplifier On-Semi Transistor

Please note that the specification for this amp has been upgraded, and it is now recommended for continuous high power into 4 Ohms, but You will need to go to extremes with the heatsink (fan cooling is highly recommended). It was originally intended for "light" intermittent duty, suitable for an equalised subwoofer system (for example using the ELF principle - see the Project Page for the info on this circuit). Where continuous high power is required, another 4 output transistors are recommended, wired in the same way as Q9, Q10, Q11 and Q12, and using 0.33 ohm emitter resistors.

Continuous power into 8 ohms is typically over 150W (250W for ±70V supplies), and it can be used without additional transistors at full power into an 8 ohm load all day, every day. The additional transistors are only needed if you want to do the same thing into 4 ohms at maximum supply voltage! Do not even think about using supplies over ±70V, and don't bother asking me if it is ok - it isn.

56 Watt audio Amplifier IC lm3876 atau 3886

This audio power amplifier project is based almost directly on the "typical application" circuit in the National Semiconductor specification sheet. As it turns out, the typical application circuit is not bad - I would go so far as to say hi-fi in the audiophile sense? Perhaps - with caveats. It has good noise and distortion figures, and is remarkably simple to build if you have the PCB.

Amplifier circuit scheme below shows the original Schematic as shown when this project was originally published. It is almost the same as in the application note, polyester bypass capacitors have been added, and the mute circuit has been disabled

Skema Rangkaian 56 Watt audio Amplifier IC lm3876 atau 3886

Voltage gain is 27dB as shown, but this can be changed by using a different value resistors for the feedback path (R3, currently 22k, between pins 3 and 9). The inductor consists of 10 turns of 0.4mm enamelled copper wire, wound around the body of the 10 Ohm resistor. The insulation must be scraped off each end and the wire is soldered to the ends of the resistor.

The 10 Ohm and 2.7 Ohm resistors must be 1 Watt types, and all others should be 1% metal film. All electrolytic capacitors should be rated at 50V if at all possible, and the 100nF (0.1uF) caps for the supplies should be as close as possible to the IC to prevent oscillation.

The supply voltage should be about + / - 35 Volts at full load, which will let this little guy provide a maximum of 56 Watts (rated minimum output at 25 degrees C). To enable maximum power, it is important to get the lowest possible case to heatsink thermal resistance. This will be Achieved by mounting with no insulating mica washer, but be warned that the heatsink will be at the-ve supply voltage and will have to be insulated from the chassis.

Jengkol 2n3055-MJE2955 Amplifier 80 Watt

Jengkol 2n3055-MJE2955 Power Amplifier 80 Watt

This amplifier does not claim to be "state of the art", and in fact the base design is now over 20 years old. It is a simple amp to build, uses commonly available parts and is stable and reliable. The design featured is a slight modification of an amp I originally designed many years ago, of which hundreds were built. Most were operated as small PA or instrument amps, but many also found their way into home hi-fi systems. The amp is capable of driving 4 Ohms, but it is starting to push the limits of the transistors, however, even when used at 4 Ohms, very few failures were encountered.

This amplifier circuit no output short circuit protection, so if speaker leads are shorted while the amp is working (with signal), there is a very real risk of the transistors being destroyed. Since this amp was built commercially, the savings were worth the risk - most of these amps were installed in the speaker box, so shorting was not likely (unless the loudspeaker voice coil shorted as happened a few times). Because of the cost of the devices used (minimal), it is a cheap amp to fix even if you do manage to blow it up.

If you do not have a dual output bench power supply - Before power is first applied, temporarily install 22 Ohm 5 W wirewound "safety" resistors in place of the fuses. Do not connect the load at this time! When power is applied, check that the DC voltage at the output is less than 1V, and measure each supply rail. They will be different, because of the zener diode feed resistance, but both should be no less than about 20V. If widely different from the above, check all transistors for heating - if any device is hot, turn off the power immediately, then correct the mistake.

Once all appears to be well, connect a speaker load and signal source (still with the safety resistors installed), and check that suitable noises (such as music or tone) issue forth - keep the volume low, or the amp will distort badly with the resistors still there if you try to get too much power out of it.

If the amp has passed these tests, remove the safety resistors and re-install the fuses. Disconnect the speaker load, and turn the amp back on. Verify that the DC voltage at the speaker terminal does not exceed 100mV, and perform another "heat test" on all transistors and resistors. Turn off the power, and re-connect speaker and music source.

14watt Audio Amplifier TDA2030

TDA2030 amplifier circuit is a monolithic IC intended for use as a low frequency class AB amplifier. TDA2030 provides 14W output power (distorsions = 0.5%) at 14V/4Ω and at ± 14V or 28V is 12W/4Ω or 8W/8Ω. TheTDA2030 provides high output current and has very low harmonic and cross-over distortion which made it one of the most used IC in audio amplifiers designs.

The performance from this circuit is very satisfactory. The sheet contains data for typical noise and distortion statistics, I cannot confirm these statistics because I don't have the equipment, but my ears tell me that the sound is good and with sensitive speakers, this amp will show some power. As can be seen, the circuit is quite simple indeed. If you can make your own PCB he circuit is very simple to make and you can design the PCB to accept the odd, staggered pin-outs of some TO220 devices.

Resistors should be at least 1/4W types with 1% tolerance recommended. I used 0.6W 1% metal film resistors and they work well. Capacitors I used were electrolytic cans for C2, C5 and C6. At the time of building, I did not have enough 100uF caps so I used 220uF caps instead, this will not cause trouble, unless you use caps that are smaller than 100uF for C5 and C6.

C1 can be electrolytic, I used a tantalum myself (don't ask why, since they are actually more expensive). Some readers may want to use a polyester capacitor for the input (C1), this would work too but I am not sure whether any benefit will arise from the extra expense. Other capacitors (bypass caps C3 and C4. and C7) are ideally polyester caps. Mylar may be used but I prefer polyester caps and they are not expensive unless you get large values.

The values of R5 and C8 are worked out from the equations in the datasheet, but I used 1.8k ohm for R5 and 220pF for C8 and they work fine. Diodes should be 1N4001 or similar (make sure you solder them in the right way round).

A good heatsink is important and this should be a large size with good thermal conductivity. When you operate the TDA2030 from the (recommended) split rail power supply, you must insulate the device from the heatsink using a mica washer or similar. With single rail supply, this is not needed.

Question 2
would it be better to seal the SoundStorm STS12D 12" 1200W Dual 4-Ohm Subwoofer or port it?...  and can you give me a good idea for a box design

-thanks.

Answers
1)   Depends, I personally prefer sealed because it makes the bass sound deeper than a ported box. And if you want a good box design, I prefer fiberglass boxes, they are soooo much cooler than MDF boxes. - gmaguitar01

2)   ported box the the low LOWS, sealed boxes are more for tight punchy hits... such as rock on techno - Corey

3)   depends on what you're after.

Surprisingly, the manual for the sub (available at bossaudio.com through the "support" tab) has some pretty good information. It shows frequency response graphs for their recommended sealed and ported enclosures. The sealed box begins to roll off at about 60hz, which is pretty high, but expected from a sub in this price range. However, it is shown to have usable output into the upper 30's which is going to be okay for most music. It will come up short on some hip hop.

The ported option will give you a pretty big peak in the 50hz range, which is also common for a budget sub. That represents a frequency response geared toward spl over sq. It's going to sound its loudest in the 40-60hz range and fade away pretty fast above and below that, but its low end extension is a little better than the sealed box.

The sealed enclosure will obviously be the easiest to build.

In most cases ported boxes are quite a bit larger than sealed for the same sub, but for this one it's only slightly larger. It only needs to be larger by the same volume as the port which is only about 4 hundredths of a cubic foot.

For sound quality - if you go with the ported box your front speakers will need to be pretty good because that box is going to have less output in the upper range while a sealed box will usually get well up into the range where a decent pair of front speakers will take over.

To make a long story short if you want the most output possible go ported. If you're more of a casual listener to a wide range of music you'll probably like sealed better. - N2Audio

1) cheap and unreliable

2) not cheap but reliable - SantaBarbarian

2)   a sony xplod 1652z can get you 200w rms x 2 @ 2 ohms, or 400w rms x 1 @ 4 ohms for like 60 bucks. a kicker zx300.1 or a kicker zx400.1 would be a great option without being to expensive. the kicker amp would have better sound quality hands down, cleaner bass. - Matt

3)   The RMS power range of 10" Kicker Comps is 50-150 watts and they have a single 4 ohm voice coil. So for a pair in parallel, you need a monoblock amp that outputs from 100 to about 400 watts RMS into 2 ohms.

A Kicker 08ZX300.1 is only $169.99 at Crutchfield and is a good match.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2068ZX3001/Kicker-08ZX300-1.html?tp=115

A Rockford-Fosgate Punch P300-1 is less expensive, only $139.99, but is only available at Crutchfield's "Outlet" store.

Question 4
Would it be safe to Push a 10" Kicker L7 with 1500 RMS daily?...  I have two kicker l7 10's, and an amp that pushes out 1650 RMS x2 channels at 2 ohms (so each Kicker would be gettin 1650 rms). Would that damage the Kicker's over time? They are said to only handle 600 Watts rms each, but i've seen people pushing almost 3000 RMS on one kicker L7 10. My amp could also push out 1000 RMS x2 channels at 4 ohms (I would just have to wire the subs differently). Would that be safer? I just want to get the most out of my subs without damaging them. Please help asap. Adam

Answers
1)   If you're pushing more than the recommended power, usually Kicker won't cover it under warranty, so you're running a risk there as well. - Corey

2)   no i would not exceed that much over the kicker rated rms for long periods of time or on a daily basis. you will melt the voice coils, at the very least you would weaken the sub and start to lose sound quality at a rapid rate. eventually sending them to the graveyard. you could get away with 1000rms 2 each but for how long i dont know. - Matt

3)   Disclaimer: I don't have intimate knowledge of this amp nor of the speaker. But I do know that a general rule is: as long as your driver is not producing audible distortion, it likely isn't suffering. Hear distortion -- back off a bit. You should be fine. - liuMeng

And when you get out of a bad relationship.. the one friend really does help you alot because you have someone to fall back on for help and strength to keep moving on. But don't move on too too fast.. Don't start dating someone else unless it has been at least 2 days or more after a brake up.. 1)   On the Box........The Cap will help ALOT. If the box still sucks port it with a 3" hole and if you still not happy trash the box and go Band Pass. A pair of 12 s move alot of air so you really need to let it breathe. A good box is everything - tom p

2)   dont try to port your sealed enclosure, you will end up ruining a good box. just buy another enclosure for your subs. believe it or not but a cap does not improve the sq of your subs. it simply gives surges to the amp when it needs it. if you have power draw problems, install a second battery for the sub.

the quality of sound is determined alot by the amp your using to push the subs. try switching to a alpine mrp-m500. one amp per sub. granted your subs are the swr-1242D model, you can wire them to 2 ohm to get 500 watts rms. otherwise, get an amp that pushes 500 watts rms at the ohm load you have your subs wired to. - Steve

2)   it wont cause electrical problems

3)   first off, i have a 10" ring under each of my 2 seats, then 2 more rings in the back of my hatch. They light up my entire car... I never had a problem with the wiring, just make sure it's done right, and if they do not get the correct amount of power they may need a "warm up" time. Lastly, yes i'm almost positive it's illegal, BUT i've gotten away with it, it may be becasuse my windows are extremely tinted, but by any rate, i would make an easily accessable and relatively hidden on/off switch that you can flick if things get hairy. If my amp is 50x4 watts, and my two subs are at 450 rms together, am i getting full potential?...  I have 2 12' mtx thunder 4500 subs powered by a pioneer premier gm-a5040 amp that gives out i believe 50x4 watts. so if my subs are at 225 watts rms each and together at 450 watts rms. Does this mean that i am not fully using my subs at its potential because the amp's watts is only at 200 while my subs are at 450? and im also thinking of getting a used head unit, alpine cda-9827. is this head unit good for 75 bucks?

Answers
1)   You are correct, you are not using the subs to their full potential. Keep in mind as well that amplifier power is usually quoted at peak power and RMS is more realistic. Also, you are running 2 speakers with a four channel amp. Unless you can bridge the amp to two channels your speakers will only see about 25 watts each. I would recommend a 2 channel amp of about 200 watts RMS per channel (400x2 peak). You will also need a crossover to cut off the higher frequencies to the sub-woofers. Many amps come with built in subwoofer crossovers, this would be your best option. Be sure to wire the amp directly to the battery with at least 4 gage wire and a 500 mF capacitor would also be a good idea. Good Luck. - mechengineer

2)   for your first question: your amp is a 4 cahnnel amp (thats why it says 50x4) - your only getting 50 watts per cahnnel and that is 50watts rms or max i'm not sure cuz you didn't mention it. generally subs go on one cahnnel becuase it maximizes the power the amp can give to them. so try to find a 1cannel usually called monoblock amp that is roughly 500watts . BTW: four channel amps are genrally for speakers in your car because you have four of them and when you want to replace them with aftermarket one's it helps them put out at their max power. if your getting those then save the amp.

for your second question: yes thats pretty good. it gennerally costs $150-$195 for a new one. - ♦ Singh ♦

3)   for one thing that amp right there is a 4ch amp like said above, sec. its a class A amp, if ur looking to push these subs go with a class D mono amp, third how old is that thing i bet its like 12years old.... sorri to rag on ya yo - Boogieman

What product should I get to listen to my ipod in my car?

Question 1
What product should I get to listen to my ipod in my car?...  The car is a volkswagon and the ipod is an ipod classic. I don't have an aux hookup thing in the car, can I still have ipod hookup? HELP!!
The car also doesn't have a tape player.

1)   some speakers - Gezo

2)   You can't hook it up, but you CAN get speakers for your ipod. - Lemon Pie

3)   u can buy a tape that connects to your ipod. i own one. it works great. i recommend it. - Ted

4)   if it has a tape deck, you can get an adapter that has a tape with a wire running out that connects to the earphone jack in your ipod.

if not, you can get an fm transmitter. these are more expensive, and, while they produce higher quality audio, they break much more often and if you cant find a radio station with just static then it wont play right - Ac3

5)   You could get a portable iPod speaker such as the iHome Color Changing Stereo System with Passive Speaker. - Julia

6)   there are many things, some of which you can find overly priced at an apple store, which plug into th eheadphone output of the ipod, or any mp3 player, and transmit sound to your radio over any 1 of several frequencies. many don't work very well, but my sister got one for her ipod and it seems that the new era of electronics may have solved this. also, they make ths same kind of thing which goes into the tape deck... - ez80227

Chevy S-10 Blazer stereo problems.?...  My stereo is the original one that came with the car and has no power running through it but the clock (part of the stereo) works fine. I've tried changing both the fuses that power the radio and nothing has worked. I've also taken the stereo deck out of the car and see no problems. Any ideas on why this could be happening? I have a feeling it is within the stereo deck but I don't want to give up yet! Thanks.

1)   fueses - Jason

2)   check to see if there is 2 power wires. The clock would have to be hot all the time. I would think that there is another hot wire when you turn the switch on - Joe w

3)   can you pull the deck out of the console ? if so check behind it for a blue wire labeled "remote"..... some factory radios do not have this wire but yours might.

the remote wire tells the radio when the ignition is on or off, therefore telling the radio to come on or off, if this wire becomes unplugged or damaged the radio stays off, but the clock may be wired somewhere else and thats why its staying on. - teg

4)   The stereo could have experienced a wet willy when you dropped on coke on it. - surfmystyle

Question 4
NEED TO KNOW WHAT SIZE CAPACITOR TO GET FOR MY SYSTEM.?...  • 4 Channel

• 4 Ohms Rms: 120x4

• 2 Ohms Rms: 145x4

• Mono Rms: 290x2

• Max Power: 1400

this is my amp

* Sensitivity: 91 dB

* RMS Power Range : 150 Watts

* Peak Power Handling: 800 Watts

* Impedance: 4 Ohm

* Low Frequency response: 20 Hz

* High Frequency Response: 4500 Hz

* Diameter: 12 Inch

these are my subs i have two of them,

WHAT SIZE CAPACITOR WILL I NEED!!

&&& WILL THIS HELP MY CAR FROM CUTTING OUT THE DOOR SPEAKERS WHEN I TURN IT UP LOUD?

Answers
1)   i would upgrade the BATTERY or alternator and or both and if ur havin trouble with the Component speakers upgrade those and hook them to amps too - Matt

2)   cap's are near useless for car audio. they are a gimmick to get your money. google 'the big 3' and do that instead, it will work 10x better for less money.

honestly, at your power level you should not be having any trouble. double check your wiring. - dragon breath

3)   A cap will not prevent your speakers from cutting out at high volumes.

You will not need a cap. Most people buy caps for the wrong reasons. A cap will not help create new power and it will not be very helpful for stopping headlight dimming issues. If you have power issues than do the "big 3" upgrade like recommended previously. In most cases a cap is going to be a waste of money so I would not recommend getting one.

If your door speakers are cutting out at high volumes it will likely be from another issue.

Question 5
how can you bridge a mono block amp?...  and about ohms is it better to be higher ohms or lower ohms

Answers
1)   a mono amp is already 1 channel. their is no bridging

the lower the resistance ( ohm's ) the higher the wattage, as long as the amplifier is rated for it. - dragon breath

2)   No, you can't bridge a monoblock amp.

It is better to have an 8 ohm load on an amp than a 1 or 2 ohm assuming equal power output. Having an 8 ohm load would have lower heat and distortion than a 1 or 2 ohm load. However, an 8 ohm load will not produce the same amount of power as at a 1 or 2 ohm load. With a 1 or 2 ohm load your amp will produce more power than at 8 ohms. So there is an advantage or disadvantage to either setup.

Good Luck!!! - MDC

6 Volt Headphone Amplifier

Some lovers of High Fidelity headphone listening prefer the use of battery powered headphone amplifiers, not only for portable units but also for home "table" applications. This design is intended to fulfil their needs and its topology is derived from the Portable Headphone Amplifier featuring an NPN/PNP compound pair emitter follower output stage. An improved output driving capability is gained by making this a push-pull Class-B arrangement. Output power can reach 100mW RMS into a 16 Ohm load at 6V supply with low standing and mean current consumption, allowing long battery duration.

The single voltage gain stage allows the easy implementation of a shunt-feedback circuitry giving excellent frequency stability.

Phono Amplifier

In recent years, following CD's introduction, vinyl recordings are almost disappeared. Nevertheless, a phono preamplifier is still useful for listening old vinyl discs from a well preserved collection. This simple but efficient circuit devised for cheap moving-magnet cartridges, can be used in connection with the audio power amplifiers shown in these webpages, featuring low noise, good RIAA frequency response curve, low distortion and good high frequency transients behavior due to passive equalization in the 1 to 20KHz range. Transistors and associated components provide ±18V supply to the op-amp, improving headroom and maximum output voltage.

6.9 Watt Audio Amplifier Kelas A

This circuit of audio amplifier push-pull single-ended Class A is capable of providing a sound comparable to those valve amplifiers, delivering more output power (6.9W measured across a 8 Ohm loudspeaker cabinet load), less THD, higher input sensitivity and better linearity.

Voltage and current required for this circuit are 24V and 700mA respectively. The only penalty for the transistor operated circuit is the necessity of using a rather large heatsink for Q2 and Q3. In any case, the amount of heat generated by this circuit can be comparable to that of a one-valve amplifier. An optional bass-boost facility can be added, by means of R5 and C5.

The transistors Q6 & Q7 should be fitted on a small and U-shaped heatsink while a larger heatsink is used to mount the transistors Q8 & Q9. For the regulation of voltage, the trimmer R10 is set to its minimum resistance which is made possible when powering ON the amplifier and then adjusting R10 until the drawing of the current reaches about 120 mA to 130 mA. If necessary, the current will need to be readjusted when after 15minutes, the current keeps on varying.

The circuit power supplay suggested value for capacitors C1 & C2 should be at the required minimum for a mono amplifier. The capacitance values may be increased up to 10000 uF when used in stereo configurations to achieved optimum performance. This will be done by connecting R1, R3, C2, C3, & C4 to the same point of the ground sides and the ground input wire while in the output ground, C7-C11 & R7 will be connected. Finally, the input and output grounds will be connected separately to the power supply ground.

It is well suited as a guitar amplifier but it will do a good job with any kind of electronic musical instrument or microphone.
5W power output was a common feature of these widespread devices due to the general adoption of a class A single-tube output stage (see the Vox AC-4 model). Furthermore, nowadays we can do without the old-fashioned streetcars VIB-feature frequently included in those designs.

4.5Volt Transistor Audio Amplifier

This is a 4-transistor amplifier suitable for a variety of projects including receivers, intercoms, microphones, telephone pick-up coils, and general audio monitoring. The amplifier has a power isolation circuit and bandwidth limiting to reduce oscillations and "motorboating". The values are not particularly critical and modest deviations from the indicated values will not significantly degrade the performance.

4.5Volt Transistor Amplifier

Skema Rangkaian 4.5Volt Transistor Amplifier

Three cell battery packs giving about 4.5 volts are recommended for most transformerless audio amplifiers driving small 8 ohm speakers. The battery life will be considerably longer than a 9 volt rectangular battery and the cell resistance will remain lower over the life of the battery resulting in less distortion and stability problems.

The amplifier may be modified to work with a 9 volt battery if desired by moving the output transistors' bias point. Lowering the 33k resistor connected from the second transistor's base to ground to about 10k will move the voltage on the output electrolytic capacitor to about 1/2 the supply voltage. This bias change gives more signal swing before clipping occurs and this change is not necessary if the volume is adequate.

30Watt Amplifier stereo with STK465

This 30Watt Amplifier stereo has two channels of amplifier in a nutshell. It is a formal designing that develops positively all the particularities completing. Concretely, we observe that the not inverting entry completed (pins 2 and 15, for each channel), is supplied from divider of tendency, which ensures tendency from the tendency of expense completing. At the same time with the entry in each channel, exists a capacitor 470rF, which achieves the unharnessing, in that it concerns the AC components of high frequency, while en line a capacitor 1mF allows in the amplifier to be supplied from desirable flourish acoustic frequencies, fence simultaneous the continuous component.

Bronchi unharnessing it is realised with the help of networking of two resistances 33KW and 330W and a capacitor 100mF, which finally ensures factor of aid equal with 100. Finally, at the same time with the exit exists networking RC (0,1mF - 4,7 Ohm) that it attends to the minimisation of phenomenon crossover. The amplifier can be supplied from a line of double polarity. Still it can function under a wide region of tendencies (±10V as ±28V). The requirements of current depend from the force of expense and it can they begin from 120mA up to 1A. It is very important the catering to be sufficiently unharnessing, so that is avoided imports of annoying noises.

how old do you have to be to work in a factory?

Question 1
how old do you have to be to work in a factory?...  i live in va.

Answers
1)   Most factories require you to be 18 years old. - REV B

2)   18 - insurance reasons - alex

3)   it depends on what the factory makes. if it is hazardous you have to be 21. otherwise its 18. - dragon breath

4)   it really depends on what type of factory. most you have to be 18, and if there is blades spinning and hooks flying you probley have to be 21. but there are factory's that you only have to be 16 to work at, example i worked at a blue berrie factory when i was 16, but i live in shitty ol maine. - joSeph

Question 2
Halogen or HID head lights?...  I have poor illumination from my current headlights and i'm looking for some blue head lights to match my led side view mirrors. So heres my questions plz try to answer all of them Thx a lot:

Are blue head lights legal in NY?

Are blue Halogen brighter than standard bulbs?

Do they make HIDs in that color?

Answers
1)   It is legal as long as the bulbs are marked, "DOT approved." Halogen are brighter than non-Halogen standard bulbs. - REV B

2)   I would try a good set of halogen bulbs. If your bulbs are more than a year old then they make quite a bit less light than new bulbs.

Also, the bluer the colour of light a bulb produces at the same power output, the less actual light you will get.

Further, do not bother with HID kits. They do not control the light that well and do not provide you a huge advantage in terms of lighting, as well, because they do not control light that well, they tend to cause a lot of glare for oncoming drivers. - Hans E

Answers
1)   http://www.electronixwarehouse.com/education/amplifiers/power-ratings.htm - tronary

2)   As long as you run them in mono you don't and they have the same amount power going to them. If its a sealed box I do myself, even if it's in mono, just in case one of the subs blows. If its going to be ported I don't but you still have that problem with "if one of the subs blow" - scott p

Question 4
Why is my car cd player not working?...  My car cd player only works when it wants to and it very seldom does. I just burnt 7 cd's to listen to and only 1 randomly works, all the other ones make the stereo say check cd and spits it out. I was wondering if theres anything at all i can do to fix this. I dont know a lot about car stereos.

Answers
1)   This maybe stupid to even post but when i use to burn cd's sometimes my cd burner software (windows media player) would randomly burn the songs to MP3 format and not the format that the car radio can read? I would check what format you have on the cds and check if your radio can play that format?

Just a helpful suggestion... - Drew & Kell

Whats the best amp to get for my Kicker L7 15" SOLO BARIC?...  I already have a HIFONICS1610 ...but I feel like thats not giving enough power to my sub ...whats one of the best amps to get so my sub will sound full potential?

Answers
1)   what ohm voice coil is the L7 and how do you have it wired? if you have the dual 2 ohm voice coils wired to 1 ohm you are already overpowering your sub by about 500 watts. if you have a dual 4 ohm sub wired to 2 ohm you are giving the sub all it is rated for. - dragon breath

Some good bass subwoofers?

Question 1
Some good bass subwoofers?...  Well i want some Bass sub's im going to upgrade from a bookshelf to subs, i was looking at kenwoods 2 12's in a box for 200 at best buy

And i want to connect it to a reciever to play in my room Wich i know is possible all my buds have theres set up like that But i heard woods arnt really good bass speakers so im asking what are some good bass speakers???

Answers
1)   dont buy kenwood subs for 50 extra dollars you get your self some kicker cvr 12's they are pretty good subs and they pound. - alex

2)   I have two 12" kicker CVR's. I got them in a ported kicker box online for $200. Many say they lack SQ but i think they sound amazing AND can beat like crazy. Id go with those - Jake M

3)   go with KICKERS - "BOOGIE-714"

4)   Getting good bass in home audio is a lot harder than in a car because of the size of the listening space, and with that much power it will be even harder.

If your friend's set ups are truely "good" it's going to take some time and effort to come up with something comparable, and a kenwood car sub wouldn't be a good place to start IMO.

I would look into some of the home audio subs from Dayton at partsexpress -- http://www.parts-express.com/wizards/searchResults.cfm?searchFilter=&srchExt=CAT&perPage=27&sortBy=3&layout=grid&page=1&srchPrice=&srchCat=487&srchMfg=&srchPromo=&srchAttr=

They can go very low and loud in the right enclosure. - N2Audio

Which ones will have better bass and sound quality?

Thanks

Answers
1)   the boss by far. - Scott W

2)   The Boss is the better of those two. However, don't expect a lot better than stock until you get into the >$100 range. The material from which the speakers are made has a lot to do with it. I recommend save your money until you have around $150 or so, and get a set of Infinity Reference 6x9's. - Matt the MoparMan

3)   Boss is better but Pioneer is better then both of them. - country joe

Question 4
Do i need an amp for my subwoofer?...  i dont have an amp for my 12 inch fusion subwoofers.. do i need one? how much would it be with installation total?

Answers
1)   if u want a lil bass yes u will need an amplifier - "BOOGIE-714"

2)   Most likely unless you have some unheard of monstrous head unit you will need an amp to get out of the sub what you probably bought it for. Now what size of amp depends on the rms wattage of your subs and whether they are Dvc or Svc and @ what ohm you plan to run them. Price varies greatly for amps. Installation kits around 100$. Most audio stores offer free installation with purchase of equip - shane

Question 5
what size amp do i need for two 12'' inch 1000 watt subs..?...  there pionneer TSW306DVC...

HELP ME PLZ! AND THANKS ALOT!!

Answers
1)   1.if the subs are 1000 watt max then each sub is 500 watts rms meaning thats the amount of contunious power they can handle so in this case you would need an amp thats between 1000-1200 watts preferably a one or two channel amp.

2.if the subs are 1000 watts rms then you would need an amp thats between 2000-2300 watts and make sure that your subs are hooked up at the right ohm load, an ohm load of 2 ohms is the best you get full power from your amp(s) and sub(s). - alex

2)   They're dvc 4's with an RMS rating of 400w. FWIW - RMS and peak have no relation at all. RMS ratings actually mean something, peak numbers do not.

You're looking for an amp around 800w rms at 1 ohm or 4 ohms.

For the 1 ohm option you could go with something like the Hifonics bxi1210d. For 4 ohms you'd need a big 2 ch which would be bridged. - N2Audio

Question 3
I am getting a pioneer 12 inch sub and 4 new speakers and head unit what do I need to hook it up?...  im not technical so youll have to tell me in ways I can understand lol anyway Im also installing a new head unit I rly wanna make this work right so whatever I need to make it work please tell me thanks

Answers
1)   well, do you have a speaker box for your sub? Depending on your vehicle you may need a wiring kit, or you may be able to buy an adapter for your head unit. I'd recommend getting an Amp kit (for your sub) Electrical tape is a good thing to have, a mount kit for your vehicle helps too, but isn't really needed if you are handy. Oh and AA battery! Just one... what you do with that is when you are trying to figure out what wires go to which speaker you put one wire on one end and go through the wires till you hear a sound out of a speaker, process of elimination! - Mustangsrock999

2)   If you could, please update what you are buying, like the model numbers of the Subwoofer, Speakers, and Head Unit you are buying, we can guide you better in what you need. However, from what you said, the only things you are missing are an Amplifier to power your Subwoofer, an Amplifier Wiring Kit, to supply power to your amplifier, and a Subwoofer Enclosure for your Subwoofer.

If you can message me the model number or a link of the subwoofer you have purchased, I can help you look for a nice amplifier to run your subwoofer. - kaerfpl

3)   well depending on your car you may need a mounting bracket. Then how extensive your knowledge is its best to buy a wiring harness for your car. most models can be found in the auto section at walmart theyll help you get the right one. you didnt mention an amp for the subs or the speakers the sub will need an amp and enclosure. If you need an amp then youll need a wiring kit for that too wherever you buy your amp theyll get you set up with the proper wires. Crutchfield on a lot of models provides mounting hardware and wires. Hope that helps - shane

Question 4
do i need an alternator?...  i have a 4,000 watt boss amp. and i have a 2002 honda accord. before i go ahead and hook it up. will i need a bigger alternator? or a new battery?

Answers
1)   Alternator and battery should be bought at same time. But a good battery would be better to get first, just buy a decent capacitor to go with it. A 10 farad cap would do fine on it's own until you can afford alternator and battery. - LyncHung

2)   1. Boss amps are flea market amps, and have FAKE power numbers. Yep, totally made up. That amp only has 3 30 amp fuses. So, it cannot possibly make much more than 1200 watts RMS. More like 1000 i bet.

2. So, your "4000 watt" amp is more like an 1000 watt amp. So no, you do not need a high-output alternator, at all.

Trust me, a REAL 4000 watt amp would cost well over 500 dollars :)

Although, with any stereo, you should upgrade your big three wiring, as shown here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p82xRzCr-lc&feature=player_embedded

Capacitors are useless, BTW. They only still sell them because newbs keep spreading numerous myths about them. - odinsragess

3)   true. capacitors are a lie

you should be fine. worst comes just get a yellow top in the trunk and run a battery isolator to it.

thats what I did. and I am running 800 watts times 2 on a 90 amp alternator. - Samuel W.

Question 5
I have a 2500x1 memphis amplifier class D?...  when I turn my stereo system louder than what it is, and it hits the right bass the amp goes into protection mode, down the volume and come the bass hits. I don't know what I can do to solve this. please help me.

Answers
1)   Well what speaker are you using? There is an impedance conflict at work here. Maybe a capacitor is needed. Substandard wiring can do it, but I doubt it. - The Eagle Keeper

2)   Im not sure if the memphis 2500 is 1 ohm stable, if it isnt it could be that your running your subs at 1 ohm or lower so it is going into protection. check to make sure you are running them at the right ohms that the amp is stable at. rockford fosgate as a woofer wiring wizard that may help on their site. - d_monie3

3)   if that is 2500 watts rms you will need serious electrical upgrades to run it. an H.O. alternator , a deep cycle battery and 'the big 3' upgrade are necessary to run that much power. - dragon breath
